It is a real pleasure to fish with because it is light; powerful and very smooth. I used the reel for a short time on a tuna trip last year. I caught a couple of fish in the 25 pound range and it worked great. It was a 299.00 dollar impulse buy and I already have other reels in this weight class. I need something bigger. The reel is in perfect condition except for one small spot on the cross bar that i have tried to photgraph. The black annodation is scraped off but there is no dent or damage. It is hard to see and has no effect on funtion.

Minty Saltist 30 HA. Right hand retrieve. It was used only once in a lake. The reel has been modified: The clicker was removed and a magnetic cast control was installed. The control is a mono mag(single powerful magnet) The knurled control knob is visible on the left hand side of the reel. Obviously the closer the magnet is screwed towards the spool the more cast control there is-less of a chance for a backlash. It seems to work. As I haven't had any problems casting.
