Vintage circa 1940s bakelite fishing tackle box. This is not the usual brown bakelite. But instead is a rich dark red mottled colourway. The screw on lid is marked Alvey Fishing Tackle Box Reg. No 17,752, A&S. Inside is a lift out tray with 4 compartments. The box base has 7 compartments. There are no cracks. There are a few small scuff marks to the lid and on the base. There is a very small chip to the edge of the base. 135mm diameter. One for the bakelite collector. Or the vintage fishing enthusiast. I will ship worldwide. It has a really pretty blue finish(yes I'm a girl) and the original My Buddy TACKLEMASTER with a picture of a fish. Still on the lid-in AMAZING CONDITION(the sticker) The handle is in EXCELLENT condition, looks like BAKELITE to me but I am not positive? Handle is attached with brass facets& they are solid and secure. It has some slight rust patches on the outside, and inside, see the pictures.The bottom also has rust along the perimeter of the raised base, no rust(holes) goes through the steel. The bottom also has rubber disks to raise it up, one is completely worn off, two others are somewhat worn. 3 others are somewhat worn but intact. these could easily be replaced I think as they appear to be just simple ... morerubber disks.When the lid is open, two compartmented shelves on each side also open simultaneously and there is more storage in the bottom.The shelf hinges are in very good working condition, secure. THERE IS A WORKING LOCK AND A KEY! The previous owners name is taped on the inside lid but can be removed, as it is that type on kind of tape. All the hinges, lid, closures, etc are in very good working condition, solid& stable. I don't see any dents at all. This tackle box is in overall nice used condition with some normal use paint wear. There is some rust on the two chrome pieces that hold the handle on and a couple of other small minor spots. Vintage Barbour shoulder bag for fishing tackle, camera etc.
We are selling a Barbour shoulder bag that is 14" wide seam to seam across the front and 12" high. There are 2 front pockets with leather strap closures as well as the double leather strap closure on the front flap. The front pockets are 7" wide and 8" tall. There is an adjustable web shoulder strap and one brass ring to attach a fishing net or walking/wading staff. Inside the bag are snaps for a removable vinyl insert but the insert is missing. The strap is sewn to the bag and reinforced with a leather patch. The main flap. The small pocket flaps and the rim of the bag edges all have leather banding. This bag is in very good condition with little sign of use. This is a very well made and good sized made bag that can hold a number of fly boxes. Leaders, a spare reel and even a water bottle. I have a similar Barbour bag ... morewith a different material that I use when streamer fishing as the fly boxes tend to be larger and usually carry a bit more gear. This auction is for a gently used Plano Tackle box. The numbers on the bottom are SKU# 123402& 923284. The box stand approx 15 3/4 inches tall and is 15 inches across and 9 inches deep. It has a flip top to store small items. A storage drawer area top and three drawers which pull out. The pull out drawers have Bass Pro Shops on the front with dividers inside. The numbers on the bottom of the trays are SKU# 370019 and# 923808 with number reading 014099900058. I purchased this second hand to use for transporting painting supplies and then found another smaller one I liked better. Few surface scratches. It does come from a non smoking home. I charge only what it costs to ship and if I am over on my estimation I will put the change in the box. This is a heavy tachle box weighing with shipping box 11 lbs. Thanks and questions welcomed.
