1960's Herters? 7 1/2 ft Spinner Fishing Rod this has 8 eyes. This has red and black bonding tape. This rod was with a couple of other Herter's but this has no label. It most likely fell off. cork in two places and has a grained background this has a pink cover on the base. Payment is by pay-pal. But I do have a local pick up, or arrange to get your item. Shipping is done primarily with USPS. I will try to ship within 5 days from the time you make your payment. Don't count Sunday as a day. The first day is the day after your win. Not that same day, as it could be later in the evening. This is a Herter's Fishing rod like I have never seen before. It is telescoping and reaches at least 20 ft when extended. It is 4.5Ft when compacted. made of some bamboo material I believe. I am far from expert on old fishing rods so any helpful emails are appreciated. The Herter's Logo is visible but definately not crystal clear. Also the model number is there but I cannot see it good enough. It appears that one of the affixed eyelets broke off the plastic ring and it also has had a small end piece break off where someone Pushed in a regular fishing eyelet on the very tip. Here are 2 very good collectable vintage but can be used as I have been doing for years spinning rods.I have had a Mitchell 300 and a Mitchell 308 on these and BOTH HAVE 7 eyes total and good METAL ferrule and good cork grips and both have THE NAME WORN OFF AS I HAVE HAD THESE AWHILE but as best as I can remember they are Herters and very good old rods that I use a lot.ONE has a hookkeeper and ONE DOES NOT HAVE A HOOK KEEPER.THE SEATS ARE THE METAL BAND TYPE THAT I LOVE SO MUCH AS YOU CAN MOVE THE REEL FOOT AROUND ON THE CORK GRIP/SEAT TO BALANCE YOUR ROD TO A LOT OF DIFFERENT REELS.These are limber as a willow limb so they work on a 308 and a 300 super good and as I mentioned the band type holders lets you use a number of reels by moving them to balance the rod.Good eyes and windings.Both are 2 piece and both are 7 foot.I combine shipping.These ... morewill weigh over 2 pounds after careful packing and the P.O charges to the next highest pound so shipping is on 3 pounds.Thanks
