Pac Bay Power Rod Wrapper Fishing Rod Wrapper Rodbuilding
Here is a very nice used Pac Bay power rod wrapper Model No: RW-1L I purchased this from mudhole rod building supply one year ago and have made some very nice rods with it. The wrapper comes with the upgraded aluminum chuck as shown in the pics. The carriage runs smoothly allowing for nice even wraps. There are no flaws other than a little dust from sitting. This comes with two 48" sections as shown allowing for a 7'6" rod to be built. The reversible dryer motor runs nice and slow letting you get good glue coverage on your wraps. All hardware is included. Very nice power wrapper for the beginner to the pro. Fun and easy to use. I'm selling this because I have no time due to my job.

Fishing Rod Building Wrapping Lathe Fly Rods, Spinning Surf Boat Casting Rods
This auction is for a Professional level Rod Builders Lathe and Power Wrapper. I don't know what make it is. There are no marks anywhere on it to indicate the maker. That being said I must emphasize that this is a very well made professional grade piece of equipment. The lathe chuck is adjustable and can be removed to allow different chuck or faceplate to be mounted. The motor runs smoothly and all parts function well. Please look closely, what you see is what you get. I don't know what all the parts do and if everything is complete. The second set of ways(with the thread tensioner) has two additional mounting attachment stanchions that appear to be missing something: most likely accessory components( perhaps additional thread tensioners for doing multiple color wraps or woven patterns) This machine is complete as far as having everything ... morenecessary to build all but the most complex wrapped rod. The overall length of each section is 48" long. Condition is good and works perfectly. There is a bit of surface rust on chuck( which works smoothly) and numerous drip spots of laquer on the lathe ways. You will need a new drive belt( a large"O" Ring works well. Tho motor runs real well but I don't know what the gearing speeds are since I have never used this machine. The Motor is a Dayton(Granger) and is marked 5000 rpm which seem a bit fast to me. You may want to gear this down or replace it with a slower motor. For shipping purposes I will dismantle it so it will fit in the smallest box possible to keep shipping cost down. I built this to build fishing rods for myself. All of which were made from one piece blanks. Main wrapper is 7ft long with a splice at 47" for easier shipping. Five rod support brackets. Smaller 2'0 base for the dryer motor and roller stand. I also used this base as a practice station to learn different wraps. I practiced on aluminum arrows but you could use wood dowels also. Drying motor is 4.8 rpm used for applying finish and turning while the epoxy dries so it does not sag. If you unplug motor then replug the motor will change direction. Vintage 3 Rod Building Rod Dryer -made of Oak Wood and Aluminum Chucks
Offered is a old school triple rod dryer. Dry 3 custom rods at the same time. The body is solid oak not that cheap plastic imitation from China. The chucks are aluminum and have three brass hex head machine thread bolts to hold the rod butts in place. They are driven by a V-drive belt. Unfortunately the belt became broke during handling. vbeltsupply has most all small belts and they allow you buy one at a time not four or five. The rest is adjustable so each rod rest can be adjusted individually. The V notch is lined in felt for better rod protection. There is a stand so the rest can transfer to the stand and you can make any length rod you want. The motor believe it or not is only 1(one) RPM so you can get great resin consistency. The base measures 26 1/2" long x 7 3/4" wide x 9 1/2" high. the I.D of the chucks are 1 1/2"

Up for auction is a rod building dryer motor holder with rollers and thread finish kit. I bought the dryer motor on ebay a few years ago to fix a couple fishing rods and it works great. The motor is 15/18 r/min and plugs into the wall. The thread finish bottles I purchaed from Mudhole. The thread finish is a 1oz. bottle of Pro Kote part A resin and part B hardener with syringes and instructions and a 1oz. bottle of Cason's Crystal Clear Color Preserver. I only used about 1/8 of the resin and hardener so the bottles are almost full. I never used the color preserver so it is filled to the top. This is a great little kit! The Herters Rod Binder is a superb tool; equipped with an integral weight and a hook for additional weight when spiral winding. Offered with a photocopy of operating instructions by Herters.
