The leather on this saddle is excellent and has been recently soaped. Oiled and conditioned with Saddle Butter, and is nice and supple. This saddle has been well cared for and kept indoors which is evidenced by the photographs. Like almost all Australian saddles. This saddle is equipped with a brass crupper bar in the back(you can see in the pics) as well as plenty of brass Dee-rings all around for your equipment, breast collar, and water bottles. The seat is nice and deep, and it sits you slightly back a bit more like a western saddle does. The cantle is a generous 4 1/2” from the skirt which makes for ... morea secure seat while on the trail or in the mountains. The poleys are tight and measure 14” across…giving you even more support for your thighs when in rough country! The seat measures(Australian measurement is from the front of the saddle to the seat back-where you would sit) Approx. 16.5” which is the equivalent to a 14.5-15” western saddle. Because of the way the seat fits like a glove(seriously-this is a COMFORTABLE saddle) it fits best on someone who wears a ladies pants size 12 or smaller. This of course would be slightly different for men as the sizes/build are different. If you normally fit well into a 14.5-15.25” western saddle, then this one will fit you. This Darwin Drafter has always been taken care of. It has a couple of marks on the near(left side) fender. A scratch on the near side of the seat(visible in the pictures) and two spots on the near poley. These are all cosmetic and do not affect the saddle in anyway what-so-ever. This was a little used saddle that I bought a month ago on eBay for $100. I believe in using the off season to try new things. And I wanted to try a Cobb saddle. It's a great saddle. I just want a black one instead of white. The guy I bought it from said it was virtually new, and he was right. It looks right out of the box, and I never took it outside. It is all original besides having had a bridge conversion. It was changed over from the adjustable type bridge. Some people believe that non adjustable saddle guitars sound better. Selling a yellow/gold Viscount MX saddle with matching gold fluted straight seatpost(not sure of brand) The seatpost is fairly marked up from being inserted in the frame. Most of the scratches are below the minimum insertion point. But there is a small scratched portion about 2/3 up the post. The seatpost is marked 22.6, although it measures 22.2 with vernier calipers, and came out of a frame(Norco Force II) that has a seattube that measures 22.2 also. Might be a mistake on the end of the manufacturer. Anyways, great vintage look for your oldschool bmx! Seatpost is 30cm long. Saddle is in good condition, no cracks or scrapes. Brass Nut & Saddle Bridge Blank for Classical Guitar Universal Blanks 1/4" 6mm
This listing is for 1 Brass Nut and 1 Brass Saddle Bridge Blank For Classical Guitar. This is a generic universal blank set for various makes of classical guitar. You need to measure what you have to be certain of what you need. You need to carve. File and sand this material to make a functional nut and saddle. The saddle piece is 3.5" x 3/8" x 1/8" The nut is 2 1/8" x 3/8" x 1/4" If you feel your instrument uses a 6mm nut. These should be fine as 1/4" is a slightly larger dimension than 6mm. This is going to be easy work compared to an electric guitar and shouldn't require a great deal of experience and skill. Since the highest strings on a classical are considerably thicker than an electric guitar. You don't need any super precision nut files. Just use some hack saw blades and some sandpaper. I ... moreflip the blades over and use the non teeth side with some sandpaper and work the slots once they are deep enough. You probably aren't going to be doing a lot of string bending per say so just a simple trough will be good enough. Just carve a channel deep enough to keep the string from slipping out of the slot. You shouldn't even need to contour the nut blank unless you just wanted to. Your plastic nut is probably narrower at the top than the bottom but maybe not. That's just preference! Do what you want to. The saddle bridge piece should need very little attention. Really the reason I got started doing this work is because the saddle piece is generally higher than it needs to be. 3/8" Should be tall enough to maintain your original height with room to remove some material if you wanted to lower the action. Improved action even on a classical guitar will improve playability. Just slip the saddle into a bench vice and wipe it down with a flat file. I suggest creating a front raised edge so the strings can clear the rear of the saddle and rest on the front edge. This bridge has been in storage for over fifteen years. If memory serves me well. This adjustable tension bridge came off a vintage 12-string acoustic guitar that met with a sad fate. I believe the brand was, PAN. This bridge has two separate pieces; a wood piece that is glued to the face of the instrument. And a metal bar with height adjustable screws and space for a saddle. The saddle is missing. The strings were held by a separate metal part the wrapped around the tail-end of the guitar. This auction is only for the bridge and tension bar.
