Removable Aftco Butt Custom Tuna Sticks Lon Waner
These are two custom rods built by Lon Waner. Seaford NY. You will find quite a bit of information on him. He had a shop in Seaford NY. He had a great reputation for rod building. As you can see by the detail, both rods are 74" overall length. They have Aftco butts which are removable and Aftco rollers. All the rollers, roll. There is some green tarnish on the guides. One rod has some tarnish near the nut that secures it to the rod(which I pointed out in the pictures) There are no line lengths written on the rods. The Butts will be removed for shipping to avoid the over size shipping charge by the post office. A couple of really nice rods.

Aftco Bent Butt Fishing Pole Rod 2 Piece Used Swivel Eye Roller Fish Key Largo
Definitely used. Has some paint loss and corrosion underneath where the reel was. This was used for an electric reel. Only markings on the bent part are Aftco. A couple of good scratches and wear. Rollers all seem to turn. The end eye is a 90. I don't know if you can clean this up or just go fish. Email me with any questions and I will try to answer. Vintage 3 Big Game Trolling Fishing Rods Star Rods Super 6/0 w/ AFTCO & Custom
This is a lot of 3 vintage big game trolling rods. They are all used and have alot of wear. They are described below: Vintage Star Rods Super 6/0: this rod has 4 AFTCO Roller Guides. AFTCO Roller tip, measures 6' 5 1/2" in length, foam butt grip, cork foregrip with alot of chipping and wear and glue residue, aluminum reel seat. I would rate this rod as 30-50 LB. All the AFTCO rollers and tip have saltwater rash. The flexcoat has alot of wear and probably could use another coat of flexcoat. Lots of wear. The other 2 rods are very similar and I will consider them as custom rods because I don't see any identifying features as which company may have made them. They both have wooden butts. One has foam foregrip and the other has cork foregrip, both have gimbals, one has 2 roller guides with 1 repaired guide replaced as a ring guide, ... morethe other has 1 roller guide and 2 stainless steel ring guides. Both rods have roller tips. One rod measures 6'5" and the other measures 6'8" Both rods have alot of wear on the flexcoat, wrapping, and saltwater rash on the guides. AFTCO Bent Butt for 80lb class rod.
I have an AFTCO big bent butt for an 80 lb class rod. This aluminum butt is well used sitting in the downrigger spot for many years. It's used but not abused and it in great condition. The threads are all smooth and it's not bent or deformed in any way. Just don't need it any more as we have a new set up now. It's 30" long overall and diameter at the threads is 1 1/4" so its a big boy. Lets face it. AFTCO lasts.

Big fishing rod for big fish. AFTCO rod made by Raul Rods in Arecibo. Puerto Rico. It only weighs 38 ounces so I believe it to be Graphite. Rod has had very little use, if any. Given to me by a friend from Puerto Rico. It was equipped with a Penn 80 reel that I removed. No salt water corrosion at all. It does not even look like the rod was used at all. The felt at the base is in excellent condition with no marks. The rod has a few minor scratches, but not noticeable.
