The box and reel are in very good shape for their age. The reel functions as it should. The instructions/ parts list brochure is in great shape. It shows the date 12-64 on the bottom right hand corner of each page. There are 3 areas that have been touched up on the reel with somewhat matching green paint. This is a Vintage Penn 722 SPINFISHER Spinning Reel with super nice mechanics: all mechanics work GREAT! It reels very easy and smooth. Anti reverse works great, bail works great and the drag adjustment is very nice. On the bottom of the reel foot it say MADE IN U.S.A. You will notice the reel is a little dirty from grease and dust over the years, but No Corrosion or Rust that I can see. I could clean it up, but I have not done so as I know most auction winners would rather clean their own reel to use for fishing or to add to their collection. It should clean up to be a real beauty. It is in its original box with the paperwork that came with it. The original sales receipt, dated 1994, is also in the box. I am the original owner, and bought this quality reek for surf fishing. Vintage Penn Spinfisher 710 Spinning Fishing Reel Made in the USA
This is a vintage Penn Spinfisher 710 spinning reel. It is used and functions. It reels rather tightly when turning the handle. The spool goes up and down when reeling. The drag loosens and tightens like it is supposed to, the bail locks when opened and flips over when reeled, and the anti reverse works. Again, it reels very tightly and I don't know if a complete clean and lube will take care of it. There is some wear and light rust and saltwater rash throughout. See all photos to see all these.
