Model GFTR 760-H. 6' in length and takes 50- 130 lb line. Rod features metal Aftco reel seat, and all Aftco roller guides. Rod is in very good or excellent condition. Only shows some light scuffing right above handle as shown in last photo, and guides have some small scrapes on edges from transportation and storage. All wrapping tight and still shiny. Only real issue if you can call it that, is that the previous owner put a 3M PVC wrap over the top foam grip. This was originally for protection against deck rash, but I did not want to cut it of as the foam underneath is likely flattened beyond anything usable. This auction is for a great pair of vintage matching deep sea rods and reels. We have two vintage Penn Senator 115L 9/0 game fish reels mounted on a matching pair of St. Croix 5'6" deep sea rods. Both with a full complement of roller guides. Both of the rods are marked St. CROIX MADE IN THE USA. 8906-XXH-AR-5'6" Line WT. 80-130lb. The roller guides and reel seats on both of the rods are marked AFTCO. The Penn Senator reels are both working fine and they are in very nice condition with only minor pitting. Scuffs, and scratches attributed to normal use. It is difficult to be exact on the year of manufacture but t he rods and reels both appear to be 1980's vintage. I do not know the test strength of the line on the reels but there is a lot of line on each reel. This is a vintage Hurricane IGFA 30U Big Game Rod. It is used and in good condition. It is rated for 30 LB test. 6'10" in length, AFTCO Aluminum UniButt, 5 AFTCO Roller Guides, and a Stuart Roller Top. It has a foregrip that looks like the same type of wrap a tennis racket has. The guides all line up nice and straight, the detachable aluminum AFTCO Rod butt comes apart easily, and the flexcoat doesn't look too bad. There is wear throughout from vintage age and use, saltwater rash on the guides, and some scratches and dings on the unibutt. I have described this rod to the best of my ability. This is a lot of 2 vintage Custom made trolling big game rods. They are both used and have wear throughout. They both have AFTCO Roller guides all the way up. And AFTCO Roller tips. They both have wooden butts with gimbals. One rod is 7 feet in length, and the other is 6'10" in length. The rod with a Marlin decal has alot of saltwater rash on all the guides and roller tip. Murray Bros 30 LB Fishing Rod w/ Tycoon Fin-Nor Miami Guides & AFTCO UniButt
This is a vintage Murray Bros Big Game Fishing Rod. It is used. In very good condition, and rated for 30 LB class. It comes with 5 vintage Tycoon Fin-Nor Miami Roller Guides. The first tycoon fin-nor guide has a split in separation on the first guide foot. It is attached to the rod fine, but split on the plastic just before the roller(see photo) The other roller guides are fine, but have some rash. The roller top is an AFTCO gold roller tip. There is saltwater rash on this tip also. The foregrip is a fuzzy material that appears to be attached to cork. This fuzzy foregrip is in good condition with the exception of a couple very small spots missing fuzzy material and you can see the cork underneath. This is very minor and barely noticeable. The butt is an AFTCO Aluminum UniButt with gimble. I can't get the unibutt apart from rod and don't ... morewant to force it. Probably needs some lubing to get it separated. The unibutt ring unscrews and tightens with no problems. The flexcoat on the rod is in good condition, and was personalized to a"Bill Aldrich" which is inscribed in gold lettering on the blank. Has 6 AFTCO Roller guides, AFTCO Roller top, foam foregrip, Aluminum AFTCO butt with gimbal, and Varmac RS2 reel seat(or maybe looks like RS20, can't tell) The aluminum AFTCO butt and Varmac reel seat is in excellent condition. This is a vintage Penn International 2920 ALS Tuna Stick conventional rod. It is rated 12-20 LB test. 6' ft in length, 7 AFTCO Low Profile Roller Guides, AFTCO Low Profile Roller Tip, foam foregrip, Penn Reels Aluminum reel seat, aluminum gimbal, and slick butt. This rod is in very good condition and has very light wear from little use. The low profile AFTCO guides and roller top are in great condition, the foam foregrip is in excellent, near perfect condition, slick butt and reel seat are excellent condition also. Here we have a used Aftco standard chrome roller tip top. It is model 126-S that comes with a size 26 tube(almost 10mm ID) The tip is a little rough with some chrome loss and corrosion. But the roller is mint and will work fine. The tube is slightly misshapen. The ID stated is for the opening of the tube and the tube tapers down so some rods might have to be slightly shaped to fit correctly. Check out my other items and more rod building supplies. Up for bid is a Conventional rod. I have little info on this rod other than it has two Aftco Roller guides and still seems to have plenty of fishing life in it. The rod seems to have a cork type of handle it has a total of 5 guides including the rollers one on the tip and one closest to where you would place your reel, it has no rod seat allowing you to place the reel where it feels most comfortable to you. as for max weight im not sure it does not say i can tell you that it is very hard to bend im 6ft tall 210 lbs and its very hard for me to bend, its a thick rod not sure what it is made out of. its a very tuff rod i can't imagine using it other than for very big fish.Maybe tuna guides appear to be stainless steel. the rod measures 6ft 6 inches any questions please send me a message thank you. I don't know if this rod is considered heavy duty but it looks to be made for big game fishing. It had a Penn Senator 12/0 reel mounted on it. The rod has big rollers with the name Tycoon Fin-Nor Miami on one roller. The others have no name. The rollers will need to be lubricated from sitting. I see no corrosion on the rollers or elsewhere. The cork grip is in nice shape as is the Aftco butt. There is minor chrome damage where you mount the reel. The rod measures 83 1/2" long. Nice reel for the summer/fall saltwater fishing season.

Custom Trolling Rod by L.A. Booker Fresh from a local estate. This big game trolling rod is in very good condition with only some light marks. No corossion, no weqr on foam handle, only very light stains. This rod has a label that reads custom made by"L.A. Booker" but has no brand name or model number so I can't be certain of its characteristics. All the rollers are marked AFTCO and all roll smoothly. It measures 5 feet 4.5 inches(64.5 inches) and compares favorably to rods rated at 80+ pounds. I don't know much about trolling rods so have a good look at the photos!
