MY NAME IS CAPT. JON WILSON. AND BACK IN THE 1970'S I OWNED AND OPERATED A CUSTOM FISHING ROD MANF. COMPANY IN CONNECTICUT. WHEN I MOVED TO W.P.B. FL. IN 1980, ONE OF MY FIRST JOBS WAS WORKING FOR DAN KLEISER OF KLEISER'S SPORT SHOP, WHICH OPENED IN 1934. DURING THIS PERIOD I REPAIRED OVER 100 TYCOON RODS, WHICH WERE IN VARIOUS STATES OF DISREPAIR. I HAD A CHANCE TO STUDY THE EARLY CONSTRUCTION METHODS OF TYCOON TACKLE OF MIAMI. I PURCHASED THIS"SCION" ROD FROM ED PRITCHARD, AND IT WAS IN A VERY POOR STATE OF REPAIR.
