This is for a very old Tycoon big-game trolling rod. Label on rod says: THE H.R.H. Custom Built By Tycoon Tackle Inc. Miami USA. There is also a leaping Marlin on label. I have very limited knowledge of this type of item so please ask questions! The rod is by no means mint but I believe all fairly original. It is approx 70" long. It appears to be made of bamboo or wood. It is rounded on the bottom and flat on the side the guides are on. All the guides and guide wraps including roller tip appear to me to be original. The handle I am assuming is original also. The fore-grip is the only issue I can clearly see. It appears to be re-wrapped at the reel seat. There is also a bit of tape residue on the butt wrap that can probably be cleaned up by the buyer. It does not appear to me that the rod was ever re-varnished but again. Vintage Big Game Rod w/ Tycoon Fin-Nor Miami Roller Guides & Detachable Butt
This is a vintage Custom Made Big Game trolling rod. It has 5 vintage Tycoon Fin-Nor Roller Guides and Tycoon Fin-Nor Miami Roller tip. It also has an Aluminum Detachable Rod Butt. I do not know the manufacturer of the rod butt. The rod measures 6'7" in length. I don't know what the rod rating is. But in my opinion, it is rated for 50 LB test. The reel seat is in good condition and it detaches from the rod just fine. When the aluminum rod but is screwed into place. There is a little bit of side to side play when you hold onto the cork foregrip. I don't know why it does this. Perhaps just vintage wear and age caused this. The Tycoon Fin-Nor Miami Roller guides are in good condition. But have saltwater rash inside. The rod is in good condition with nice wrapping. I have described this rod to the best of my ability. Nice. Vintage, hard to find 1964 Eagle Toys NHL Stars Table Top Hockey Game. This classic rod hockey set features the Montreal Canadiens squaring off against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Leafs are at an advantage, as one of the Canadiens defensemen is missing his stick. Aside from that you will find this set to be in very good or better condition. Rods are nice and straight, players show excellent litho, nets are in great shape, graphics on the outside of the rink are strong and vivid, no dents or dings, all 4 folding legs are in place and in great shape. You will find some expected scuffs, scrapes and very minor surface corrosion, but it is nothing out of the ordinary and the set looks great.
