I have a pair of custom 6 1/2' offshore trolling rods in nice shape(this is my LAST 2 available) fitted with an Aftco removable Butt and Aftco rollers. Also has a Varmac Reel Seat. This is an older rod but very well built and in nice shape. Has been in storage for years. Ready to mount your big game reel! This rod will ship safe and secure in a PVC tube via USPS. Custom tied by Bart's Custom rods.High frame guides wrapped in black threads with silver trim. Nice fixed seat handle. This is a used rod. There are some scuffs and scratches and the handle shows wear, especially the very butt of the handle. However, the rod is structurally sound and is a beautiful custom rod. Its rated for 2-6lb line but I think its underrated. I used 8lb main line and 10lb main line without a problem. Soft enough to protect light leaders but has plenty of backbone to land a Great Lakes river salmon with ease. Has oversized guides(including the tip) making it a great cold water rod. up for sale is a St.Croix 4 piece travel rod with a custom marblizing paint job.This is a 9 foot long medium power rod with a moderate fast action.It takes 8- 20 lb test and 1/2 to 2 1/2 oz lures.The rod breaks down to 4 sections 30 inches long.The paint pigment is mixed in with the clearcoat as it dries so it can never rub off or peal.The rod and handle are in really great shape.I would rate it a 9 out of 10. Up for bids is this hard to find. E. Zimmermann Custom Built surf rod. It measures 110" 9'2" Assembled, and weighs 1lb. 11oz. It has a red colored wooden handle with square-cut checkering, the handle alone is 28" and weighs 13.8oz. There are only 3 guide eyes on the pole, the last one is as big as a quarter, and a dime almost passes through it. There is a gold sticker at the base of the pole, forward of the handle, that reads"Custom Built by E. Zimmermann, Jersey City, N.J. This pole has seen some use, but has no cuts or nicks in the fiberglass portion of the rod, and the handle is made of a very dense wood, so no damage there. I've known Gary all of my life and he is kind of a local legend around here, known for building quality custom rods for 30 plus years. He is no longer building them due to illness. Now on to the rod: The rod is built from a G-Loomis GL2 blank. It is a 2 piece rod. Overall length is 7'6" Line weight is 8-17 lbs. And lure weight is 1/4-5/8 oz. It features a Fuji DPS 18 reel seat with a cork handle and Fuji guides. I would consider it a medium heavy action rod. The rod is used, and shows signs of previous use. The rod itself has some scuffs and marks from normal use. None of the scuffs or marks effect the integrity of the rod. The guides are all in excellent condition. Here is a vintage 1982 FENWICK. CUSTOM, 2 PIECE, 5'6" SPINNING ROD in NEAR MINT condition. Made in USA by a master rod maker. This rod is rated for 1/16- 1/4 OZ. lures, 2-6 lb. line and weighs a mere 3 oz. There are 5 CERAMIC guides and a tip. The cork handle is clean and excellent and has SLIDING RINGS reel seat. This rod is from my personal collection. It looks as close to new as you can get for a 31 year old rod. This is TREMENDOUS trout rod and is as nice as they get. Seeker BS 705S custom baitcasting fishing rod
This rod was custom built by George Roth in Dec. 2004. I had just purchased a used Rich Forhan rod which was based on the Seeker 706S which is also a"S" glass blank which many know as the Revolver Rod. George had this cousin to the 706 Seeker blank which he told me about. The 705 he rated at 3/8-3/4 ounce lure; 8-20 pound line; medium heavy power; and mod-fast action. I'm not sure about his ratings but it does have a taper to give it more tip(see photo for taper) It was cut down to 6-8 with a custom fuji split reel seat. Split grip(see photos) hook keeper(left side, see photo) spiral guides(left) Fuji J-frame New Concept S/S alconite guides, super fine cork rings and rubberized cork butt cap. The guide wraps are"Rainbow" Rod cost over $200 in 2004. I'd hate to price it now. It has been used very little. I have ... moreway too many rods and my loss is another's gain. Rod can be used to throw moving lures like crankbaits, buzzbaits or spinnerbaits. Good length for accurate casting and distance too. Custom build gives it less weight and the glass gives it a slow rebound. S glass is superior to E glass in sensitivity and the custom seat allows contact with blank. Thanks for your interest. The custom built 15'0" 3-piece 10-weight Spey rod being auctioned here is in excellent lightly-used condition. Very well-cared for by its previous owner and seldom fished, this powerful smooth-loading two handed fly rod shows only a faint few natural signs of nominal cosmetic wear and tear in the expected high traffic areas. As the photos show. The upper and lower cork grips display little hint of staining from previous handling, and remain overall free from any major chips, gouges, or excessive missing fill. Still bright and shiny like it once was new, the ultra-sturdy up-locking oversized reel seat still looks great and functions perfectly too. A close inspection of the rod's matte-graphite blank from tip to butt reveals no signs of catastrophic abuse like deep scratches.
