Very good quality rod's and reel's with almost no wear on the Master and the Shakespeare and average to below average wear and tear on the other rods considering they are 20 to 30 years old. The Master and the Shakespeare were used mostly for surf fishing and the other two were used for steelhead. These were all aquired at estate. Auction sales and I am not a fisherman but I had them looked at by an individual familiar with fishing and was told they are in good working order. CTS New Zealand Fly Rod 9' 6 Wt Custom *BEAUTIFUL*
I am selling a bunch of custom rods from a guy that does about 20-30 per year. He does it for his therapy and then purges a bunch at a time. He does fish some of them. But there are so many, that no one man can put that many hours on that many rods. He learned to wrap rods from the local fly shop owner and rod builder, so he knows all of the tricks of the trade and has improved on some. He specializes in larger, saltwater rods, so they are built better than any factory rod and uses top end components. Most of the rods have at least two, if not three stripper guides. He seals the cork grips to protect from body oils, dirt and fish slime, which is why most of the cork is slightly off color. He reinforces the ferrules and signs most of his rods on the butt section. This XP looks barely used and is absolutely gorgeous. Most do not have socks ... moreor tubes unless pictured. Shipping is $9.50 to the lower 48. These CTS rods from New Zealand are sweet fishing sticks. They have built their name mostly by selling kit blanks and letting the buyers customize them to their liking. This builder is a big CTS fan and has fished them for everything from trout and bass to bonefish and tarpon and everything in between. Some of the models that I am selling may be earlier models that they no longer produce and are not listed on the updated website at This particular rod is a med-fast#6 that is gorgeous.
