Hello. Up for bids is a Daiwa Sealine 450H Conventional Reel. The reel is in very good + condition with signs of wear use. There are scratches and marks here and there. But nothing major at all. The worst wear is some spotting on the chrome rings and drag wheel. All other aspects of the reel are clean including the frame, side plates and spool The reel has been completely re-built with brand new HT-100 drags, good plus free spool, smooth shifting in and out of gear, runs VERY smooth, has a rod clamp assembly, and a clean spare spool as well. When this series was introduced, they represented a real shift in reel design. With an aluminum frame and side plates along with beefy internals, these reels were a great leap forward from what was around at the time. They are work horses, strong, and can tackle big fish. There is some scratches in the step off to the black handle that appears to be where someone used a pair of pliers. Not sure why. you are bidding on a used sealine 900h. i bought this reel new within the year. ive only fished with it 1 time. it brought in a 4 ft blacktip shark and a 7 ft scalloped hammerheard using 20/0 circle hooks. thats the only action its seen. this reel comes with clamp/brace/box/manual. it is loaded with 600 yards of 65 lbs braid topped with 200 or 300 yards mono. one of the brace lugs is slightly bent. i have no idea how or when that happened? please ask questions if you have any.

Sorry no rod clamp. It is currently spooled with braided dacron line. There is a missing sticker on the side plate as shown in the last picture. This reel looks like new(view pictures carefully) It had a very short service life, evidenced by the internal parts and gears which look completely new. These reels are made of mostly aluminum and are very well constructed. For sale one used Daiwa Sealine-X 50HV conventional reel. This reel has been relisted due to verbiage which was deemed'incorrect' So here we go again- this reel was purchased with a 40# Seeker rod I wanted for my offshore arsenal for fishing tuna. Yellowtail, dorado etc. BTW hasn't this been an awesome year fishing in Southern California, I love having my freezer full of yellowfin, bluefun and dorado. Too bad I only was able to catch firecracker yellowtail which must live to be caught another day when they are all grown up. Okay back to business- in order to get the rod I wanted I had to buy this reel in a package deal. The situation is that I already have several reels just like this one. I am a Newell and tricked out Penn guy who also has a Shimano or two kicking around. While this is a fine reel, I simply don't need it. ... moreSo here's the deal on the Daiwa reel- the spool was full of old line which was perhaps several years old. Upon removal of the line I found a spool in excellent condition and corrosion free. The reel shows signs of use but is mostly corrosion free except for a small area on the counterweight side of the handle which is hard to see. I have not taken the reel apart but it appears to function properly with decent free spool and a drag which feels nice and locks up good. This reel should have no problem fishing 30# or 40# line. Per the line chart on the reel itself, the reel may even be suitable for 50# line especially with 65# spectra backing. I would recommend having the reel serviced prior to use, after all it appears to have been unused for several years and I am the type who has my reels serviced every year. So with fishing still red hot on the West Coast, here is a reel for tuna, yellowtail, dorado or anything else for than matter which can be caught on 30# or 40# maybe 50# If you have any questions, please ask.
