Newell 300 C graphite saltwater reel newell 338 size with Penn 500 gears
Up for auction is a used Newell 300 C saltwater fishing reel. This reel is very similar in size as a Newell 338. In fact it uses a Newell 338 spool. Although these reels use Penn Jigmaster gearing such as the Penn 500 and Penn 501. These reels are sort of a hybrid between Newell and Penn reels. This reel has HT 100 drag washers installed. This reel has newell aluminum cross bars and base. There is evidence of use such as an indentation where the free spool clutch is engaged. There is also some wear on the finish for the aluminum base and cross bars. Pictures should be referenced for a more complete description. Graphite plates have typical wear from use. The reel is in working order. Clicker is in good working order and base comes with aluminum reel seat clamp. For more fishing gear. Check out my other auctions.

Rare find Newell 440-5 no letter original model USA Carl Newell reel. Super light weight for its power abilities. This reel was upgraded with super drag washer brakes and ceramic bearings. Drag is smooth and locks powerfully as they should. Bearings spin forever almost! Spool fee spool switch has the original graphite tip top. Side plate screws for easy access to ceramic bearings for lube. These bearings are already lubricated with the ceramic bearing lube. There are some scuff marks on the handle knob as expected for this 20 year old reel. This reel was never abused. Saw fishing action a dozen times and always taken care of from the saltwater elements.
