Up for sale is a fly rood and reel combo. The reel is a Okuma Sierra 5/6 WT and the rod is a South Bend Graflex XL 6 1/2 ft 2 piece Model 1066 Medium Action. This combo is listed as used but neither item has ever been fished. I have decided that I am not a fly fisherman and am selling my three fly rods and reels along with many other rods and reels. Time to downsize! I believe this would be a great little combo for those small streams with a lot of overhanging trees. I would consider this combo new old stock since it has never been fished. Here is a Okuma AV 40 spin reel in fair to good condition. It cranks in good. The bail closes good, the front spool drag is fairly smooth, and the instant anti-reverse works good. Line size starts at 8 lb. at 410 yds. to 12 lb. at 260 yds. It looks like braid on it now not sure of test. Diezel DZ-80 Okuma fishing rod & reel
Up for NO RESERVE auction is this Diezel DZ-80 Okuma rod and reel. This is used and has some scuffs and scrapes but it works like new and has been well taken care of. I used this for deep water fishing in the Mississippi river I was fishing for the big 100 pound catfish which I never caught but I did pull in an 70 pound spoon bill. This rod& reel had no issues at all and would work great for the bigger fish in the ocean. This is no light tackle rod at ten feet long I used a quarter pound sinker while fishing the Big Muddy and I am sure it will handle snapper. Tuna, or grouper with no issues. Reel always was rinsed with freshwater and wiped down.I always re-oiled the levelwind gears after rinsing. before putting away the reel. This reel definately can haul in the big Cats no problem. I bought both items brand new in March and have fished them a total of FIVE TIMES! I paid $199.00 for the rod and $139.00 for the reel.They both are in like new condition, the rod does have one small scratch on it but it's very small and does not effect the rods integrity or action in any way, you can hardly notice it. The reel is the smaller version to be spooled with 6, 8, or 10lb test line, and it comes with the box and all warrenty info, so does the rod for that matter.
