20 Penn Battle spinning fishing rods with broken tips - most broken close to tip
This auction is for 20 Penn Battle spinning fishing rods. All of these rods have broken tips. Many are broken close to the top and could be retipped. Some are broken further down and would be for parts only. The shortest rod measures 4'7" the tallest rods measure 6'10" Most of the guides on the rods are intact, there are 4 that need to be replaced because they are missing the guide insert. 15 of the rods are unused with the original plastic on the handle, the other 5 are used. The blanks on the unused rods may have a few small scratches from shipping and handling. These are very easy to retip/repair. I buy Fuji Hardloy tip tops from mudhole.com for about $2 apiece. I try very hard to represent the condition of my rods fairly. I tested all of the reel seats and all are working. Please look at the photos of the rods and ask ... morequestions if necessary. I have a Penn Battle 4000 reel on auction. It was purchased for my wife who has limited interest in fishing. It has been fresh water rinsed then dried after each outing even if not used. The sun has caused the finish to peel away on some pieces. I got new pieces from Penn but within a year the replacements pieces did the same thing. As for the mechanics it functions perfectly. Drags are always loosened when being stored in home. Comes in original box with papers. Starting bid of $30.
