Penn 50sw 50 sw gold international deep sea ocean offshore fishing reel
Helping a friend sell off some fishing gear. This is a very nice Penn 50 SW reel. It has been"blueprinted" by Cal Sheets who is known for his work on these reels. This reel was used for 200 pound(plus) tuna and worked perfectly for the job. The drag is nice and smooth and the clicker loud. There are a few extremely light scuffs here and there which I tried to show in the pictures. If these scuffs were any less significant. I would wonder if it had even been used. The black plastic button on the clicker is gone but in looking at all of my International reels, I see all of mine fell off too so it must be common for this to happen. The button is cosmetic only and won't affect how the reel works. The spool shows blue at the bottom from finger tape. It is common to put finger tape on these spools to give the spectra line something ... moreto grip onto so it doesn't spin under pressure later. It could easily be cleaned off but you might as well leave it on before adding line. This reel comes with the heavy gold clamp(the original clamps are not nearly so strong and nice looking) The padded blue cover, and the original yellow storage bag. The clamp and padded cover are expensive to buy separately so it's nice to have them thrown in to the deal. I have not used this reel but I am told the previous owner took good care of his stuff. The owner passed away and I am helping the family sell off his gear. Rather than mess around with reserve prices. I am starting the bid at a bargain price. These reels sell new for well over $600 so one in this condition already blueprinted is worth considering. The shipping will be fixed at $12 for priority mail. I can't ship International.

This is a used Penn International II 50 TW This Penn 50 TW has probably been fishing ten times since I purchased it. I Still have the Original Box which will come with the reel. So it's in EXCELLENT condition for a used reel. Reel also includes a rod clamp. Everything works as it should. I've sold the boat and ole lady says it all has to go! This reel has some light scuffs but nothing serious. This reel was just spooled with Momoi-60lb Hi Vis line which has been fished once this year. Up for auction is a very nice Penn International 50 Made in the USA. This reel is in perfect working condition. This reel Is also in very good cosmetic condition. There are some normal signs of wear on the reel from normal use. U may want to change the bottom screws that go onto the reel seat which are a little bent from tightening down the nuts onto the reel seat. I used it just like this and it obviously has no effect on the reel but its up to you. This is a fantastic Penn International that is sure to make a great addition to anyones collection. Good Luck!

When I purchased the rod the name international was removed and the owner had his boat name on the rod and then took the name of the boat off. I have taken the rod to a couple of tackle stores and they all claimed it's a Penn International, It's 6'10' and 2 piece. The rod is in very good shape except on the reel seat theres a little corrosion, the rollers are perfect and spin like a top. I will ship it in a plastic tube.

Penn International 50 Big Game Conventional Lever Drag Reel
This reel has seen a lot of use. But it still works well enough to catch big fish. Particulars: Original 50 International(1967-1986) Parts are still available online. By the way. Reel turns smoothly. Drag is strong and smooth. Clicker works. Lots of scuffs and some corrosion damage. But these spots have been polished smooth. Button for preset strike drag stays down. Could be fixed but I didn't bother since you can just use it as a marker instead of a stop. Reel was recently rebuilt and lubed. I have caught a few sharks with it. And it's reliable in action.
