Penn Stand Up Slammer Rods Sl-2760 Sl-2766 Set Of 4 Need Guides Made In The USA
Up for auction is 4 Penn Stand Up Slammer Rods. There are 2 SLS- 2766 ML 6'6" rods and 2 SLS-2760 M 6' Rods. These are my own rods that I was going to put the time into repairing the guides but just dont have the time. They are original Made in the USA rods. The blanks are great blanka and are basically intact with no breaks or cracks anywhere. The reel seats are also intact as are the foam grips. The rod butts are star pattern and 3 of them come with rubber covers. All 4 rods are missing some guides. The 2766 rods both have the first guides. Missing the second. One of the two has the 3 guide but missing the 4, 5 and tip inserts. The other rod has a broken 3 guide but the 4,5 and 6th guides are fine. The SLS 2760 rods, one rod is missing the 1,2,3,4 guide inserts but has the 5th and tip. The other has the 1,4 and rod tip but ... moreis missing the 2,3,5 guides. The wrapping is basically intact and some of the guides can maybe be repaired by putting in a new insert while others need changing. Roller guides only on rod tip and closest to the reel. See pics. Very stout rod for deep sea fishing. There is light corrosion where the reel affixes to the rod. This rod is in good condition with some wear throughout from use. 1) Quantum XL Graphite rod. QXLC 70H, 7 feet length, Heavy Action, 15-45 LB line, 5/8 oz- 4 oz lure weight, 7 guides, stainless steel rod tip, cork foregrip, cork butt grip, casting trigger, and hook keeper. The rod butt has some wearing on the bottom exposing the rod blank. Perhaps adding a butt cap will take care of it. This rod has some wear throughout from use. This auction is for 6 Penn Slammer saltwater boat/trolling fishing rods. All of these are in very good to excellent/like new condition. A few appear lightly used. A few still have plastic on the handle and/or the price tag still on the rod. Most of the rods need minor repair, mostly need tips replaced. None of the blanks are broken, replace the guides and the rods are full length. These rods retail new for $110 apiece as combos with reels. This auction does not include the reels.
