The reels have been serviced to remove all the old harden grease. All the internal parts have been inspected and lubed. One of the two reels has had a new 14-710 Crosswind roller installed in it to make it operate as it should. PENN SPINFISHER 720Z (720 Z) - Vintage Spinning Reel - nice shape
This auction is for a Penn 720 Z. It appears to be in excellent shape. The bail flips. Clicker works, and it turns smoothly. It has a few marks that appear to be more from storage than from use as you can see in the picture. I have not cleaned or oiled the reel, I will let that up to the new owner. There is a slight mark on the inside of the reel seat. I thought it may have been where the sticker was, but I did try to clean it a little and it didn't come off. You can see it in one of the pictures. Otherwise. This is a great real. I'm starting to thin my collection down. This Penn 720z was made in Philadelphia. PA. USA. The reel is in good working order. It turns smoothly, the clicker works and the bail closes with authority. The drag knob is not the original.It holds the spool on but should be replaced for proper drag adjustment. Long story. There are scuffs on the handle and some paint loss on the edges. Overall. This vintage spinning reel was made in the U.S.A. by Penn and is the Deluxe Skirted Spool Spinfisher model 750ss. This is Penn's biggest spinning reel and features the following specs: medium to heavy saltwater gear ratio 4.6:1 weight 26 ozs line cap mono 250/20 There is some paint loss from age. Use and salt water but as can be seen in the pictures it is a nice reel. These black and gold beauties are undeniably the finest precision skirted reels in the world.
