A vintage Penn 714 spinning reel in excellent working condition and in overall great condition. There are some normal surface rubs with paint loss on some edges with the biggest paint loss area on one side of the back of the spool. The bottom line is this one's a user that's ready to go. Again. Penn spinfisher 706 706z spool complete with clicker, drag knob, & fresh drag
You are bidding on a nice used spool(complete with a fresh Penn drag stack that's greased with cal's and clicker assembly) and power drag knob for a Penn 706z. It has a couple of wraps of 3m electrical tape around the arbor so that it will hold braid. It is ready to be spooled with line of your choice and fished. It's in very good cosmetic condition(see photos and be the judge yourself) And mechanically, it's as good as it gets for a used part. You can add this and a 706 rotor cup to a 704 and voila. You have a home made 706 at a fraction of the cost! Penn Spinfisher SSV 5500 salt water spinning reel
This reel was used on a single two week trip to the beach in 2013 and rinsed after each use. My seven other reels are Shimano but I really preferred this reel to the Shimano Spheros(I felt the seals were better) when I purchased it. In preparation for selling the reel. I sent it back to Penn for a cleaning and relubrication(great customer service- they did it for free) Cosmetically near perfect. The second photo shows some light scratching of the right side near the reel seat but those scratches are extra highlighted by the camera flash as they are barely visible in standard lighting. Penn 714 Greenie This is a nice little reel. The rotation is very smooth and the bail is crisp. I have fished the reel on a vintage ultralight rod and it operated flawlessly! This reel is ready to fish! Paint is good but there are some scuffs and chips. Not bad for a 40 year old reel but look at the pictures and make your own conclusions.
