Up for auction is a nice used Shimano Sahara Model 2500FB spinning reel. It comes. As shown, with an extra spool. It was made in Malaysia and is so marked on the foot. The reel is used, but in very good condition. There is little, if any loss of finish. The graphics and tape/decals all look good. The reel is set up for a right hander now, but can easily be changed over for left hand use. The reels weighs 9.8 ounces. The spool holds 200 yards of 6 pound, 140 yards of 8 pound and 120 yards of 10 pound test line. The gear ratio is not shown on the reel but it looks to be about 6:1. Please take a look at the enlarged photos, as they accurately depict the cosmetic condition of this reel. Mechanically, the reel is in good working order. The action is super smooth and the drag and anti reverse mechanisms work fine. The bail is strong. Shimano SBK 1000Q light/ ultralight spinning reel. R1 spool. Quickfire II. Fightin Drag II. This reel is in excellent condition. The only blemishes are some very light paint wear on either side of the bail assembly and a pinpoint- sized dot of a hardened. Clear substance on the non-handle side of the reel between the plastic handle nut and the rotor. It looks like clear nail polish or something similar. Otherwise, the reel looks and feels new.
