This lovely little Stella Banjo Ukulele appears to be all original, except for the strings which are Aquila. It has a 7 1/2" head which is in good shape, and a 13" scale length. The tuners work well, and were obviously a nicer set than many instruments in the 1920's received. The resonator on the back is complete and has a sliding mechanism that allows you to dial in the amount of resonance.VERY cool! The hardware is all in good functional shape but some of the 3 of the hooks have been replaced. The inlay on the neck is pristine! It also has the factory stamp 5318_H929. Harmony guitars were solid wood. Not laminated like other cheap guitars of the day. Typically made of birch, they are nice vintage instruments that exhibit vintage charm at a fair price. This example is in nice original condition. VINTAGE RARE STELLA FLAT TOP ACOUSTIC PARLOR 4 STRING TENOR GUITAR This vintage Stella guitar measures about 36 inches long x 13 1/4 inches wide x 3 3/4 inches thick. The fret board is about 16 inches long x 1 1/4 inches wide(at the nut) with 20 frets. It shows normal signs of use and has scuffs. Scratches, nicks, stains, and the finish is worn, and worn off places. Someone has used Phillips head screws to hold the saddle/bridge assembly in place. It is holding good but(with the Phillips screws) is not original. The end strap pin on the body is missing. The action is not bad on the first 4 or 5 frets. But then the strings get farther away from the neck. At the 3rd fret the action is about 1/16 inch and at 12th fret the strings are about 1/8 of an inch above the fret. The tuners all work good. The guitar does tune up and sounds really good. ... moreThere is no sticker inside but the numbers 3276H929 are stamped inside. Stella H1141 Guitar A Beauty Large Acoustic Some Wear Nice Black Case
This guitar is a great example of what I believe to be a 1959 Stella H1141 guitar. The finish is fantastic except for some flakes on the perfling paint which can be seen in the pictures. There seems to be no wear on the back and the neck. Doesn't look like it has ever been played with no fret wear. The position markers are the painted on version and have absolutely no wear. Only a few marks on the pickguard that could probably be buffed out. Unusual pick guard that seems to be original. Notice how it is away from the sound hole at the curve. Seems original. Curve on the inside of the pick guard is very smooth. Triple perfling paint on the top of this guitar. There is one place on the side of the guitar that has a couple small dents. check pictures) The guitar is really sweet and does play. I have it tuned low but it does have that old ... moreStella sound if you want that vintage sound on your recording. The neck has a slight bow which leaves it at about 1/4 inch at the 12th fret. At the very heel of the neck you can see a very small seperation maybe a quarter inch up into the heel and only the size of about a half thickness of a credit card. Steel reinforced neck that can be brought back if you want the action lower. I believe it has what is called a floating bridge. Original tailpiece that could use a good buffing. No cracks any place on this guitar. Beautiful wood grain on the right of the lower bout and also the rest of the entire guitar. Original tuners. I don't think you will find a H1141 in better condition. Beautiful black case with almost no noticeable wear. The handle is in such great shape it looks like the case was never carried. Inside of case is great. The guitar is about 40" long. 17" neck and 25" scale. The lower bout is about 15 1/4" the upper bout is about 11 5/8" The guitar is 3 3/4 inch deep and 1 3/4" neck width at the nut. I have described this guitar the best I know how to. Please check the pictures very carefully. The guitar will be just as I have described it

Harmony Stella -H1105-WWII-Ex+Cosmetic Condition-No Cracks-Worthy Proj./Rest.
As I am not a Luthier or expert on Guitars or other instruments. Please excuse my attempts at correct terminology. I have consulted with a Luthier, and that along with some online research, particularly the Harmony Database, and my own experience and observations form the speculations* and certainties below. Some pictures show red, white, green and blue images on finish. They are camera flash, TV, fireplace and/or window reflections unless noted otherwise and any perceived blemishes are flames in wood grain unless noted. I have detailed any and all cosmetic issues in the condition section and/or below. The following are observations and when noted with an* opinions. Any additional knowledge/information is welcome and appreciated. In my opinion. by far. The best looking and sounding Stella of them all. One of the 1st Stellas made after Harmony ... moreacquired the Oscar Schmitt company. Made from 1940-1944, the"War Stella" Big, rounded, Jumbo size, 14 fret to body. All solid wood with the vertical faux grain stain. All Original. While this is a restoration project regarding issues detailed above and below, this guitar has many features that are near mint. All perceived chips are paint/finish only. No gouges or dents. Neck is perfectly straight and has only light scratching of paint/finish. Tone and volume are more like a dreadnaught than the usual mid range of a standard Stella. The individual parts of this guitar from the near mint pickguard. Tailpiece, neck, tuners* hardware, position marker designs and no cracks/splits in the wood make this a worthy restoration project, and sold individually would exceed asking price. If used as a slide guitar, only the back and braces need to be re-glued. While top has significant warping around soundhole, bracing of top is amazingly intact and solid. Neck heel has only slightly lifted from body. This neck does not have the"Steel Reinforced" neck as it was likely made after the 1942 metal rationing period for the war effort. It does not appear to have needed to be

Vintage Stella Harmony Parlor Blues USA 60's Solid Birch H-929 Guitar! Average cosmetics. Quite a few careless'dings' in the white painted body edges Ladder-braced for that Classic Blues sound! Has quite a bit of careless handling wear. But seems rarely played. Consider the painted fret markers. There is really not much neck wear, and these will get wiped out over time with constant playing. Frets seem quite clean. Neck has some'relief' but is well within bounds for the veteran player. If your style is a combination of finger and bottleneck(AKA-Blues) you want this guitar! Doesn't have the usual date code, just some illegible number sequence on the inside. Features place this in the mid-late'60s. Good/average cosmetics- edges show the typical dings from a guitar that has probably never been inside of a case. Would ... morebe easy to touch these up if the new owner were motivated to do this. Will require strings and personal set up. BEST OF LUCK WITH THE AUCTION! Buyer pays shipping. Vintage 1954 Stella Slide Acoustic Delta Blues Guitar Made in USA The guitar players who developed the delta blues played a variety of guitars. But the most commonly used guitars were Kay, Stella, Regal, Gibson, and National resonator guitars. They are noted for that great resonating Delta blues sound. Elvis played a Stella in a few of his movies including Jailhouse Rock. Kurt Cobain played an acoustic Stella when he recorded Polly for the Nevermind album. Leadbelly. Charlie Patton, and Doc Watson all started out on Stella guitars. This Stella H929 is stamped on the interior with 1954 dating. Hardwood construction. Solid birch top and body, with maple fingerboards stained to look like rosewood and painted fret markers. It has a sunburst horizontal faux flame finish, with white striping on the top edge, white painted pick guard and decorative ... morepainting around the soundhole. It has a floating bridge and metal tailpiece. This guitar has a metal nut keeping the action high for slide guitar playing. This is a 1960's Harmony Stella guitar. It is made in the USA. The guitar comes with its original chipboard case. It is in excellent condition. The case does have someone's name and address written on the inside front cover. But other than that, there is hardly a flaw with this guitar. Vintage Stella Tenor Banjo cir. 1924 RESTORED This a fine vintage Stella Tenor banjo from around 1924. It has been restored. All the hardware has been polished. The head has been replaced with a new calf skin head, and it has new strings. It has NOT been refinished as the finish is in pretty good shape for it's age. It plays very nice. And keeps in tune well. Since the head is calf skin temperature and humidity will affect it's tuning. The tail-stock. Tuning pegs, hardware is all original. The bridge looks to be original. It also includes the original wood resonator. Please see pictures for cosmetic condition. additional notes: The resonator has a slight warp. And the tone ring is a bit out of round. It does not affect the function at all.

Vintage Spokes are among the hardest parts to find for a truely correct vintage restoration. Our vintage spoke pile is getting very small- do not miss out! For your vintage restoration of that old Reynolds 531 or Columbus SL bike. We are pleased to offer: 72 Stella 304mm 15g double butted spokes with Nipples. The spokes we believe are the chrome plated variety(a magnet sticks strongly to them) The finish on the spokes is gorgeous. The spokes and nipples are brand new- never used. The box is NOT included- it is shown here just for illustration. A different set of spokes is shown in the photo- you are getting 304mm! Stella spokes were commonly used on old Cinelli. Masi, and other top tier late 1960's and 1970's lightweight Campagnolo equipped bicycles.
