Vintage STELLA Banjo For your consideration I am offering this vintage STELLA Banjo. I believe is from the 30's or so. This came from an estate, and check out the many pictures. I do not know musical instruments, so tried to show you all parts of the banjo. The diameter of the round part is 10 inches, and it is 23 1/2 inches long. Around the sides, there is a metal piece missing, looks like would have 8 strings, 6 are present. This banjo is very heavy, is signed STELLA on wood part, last picture shown. Has a place where it may have been glued on the neck, at the factory, can't tell for sure. All the string tighteners are there. Check it out, is quite old, and don't think has been played for a long time. I am selling this as is, as described, and as pictured. This will also be insured with delivery confirmation. Mahogany constructed body is very attractive, the dark stain and grain pattern gives it a walnut appearance. This dark finish contrasts the gold and white celluloid and is extremely good looking. No modifications or repairs, all parts are working and original. The neck is perfectly straight; the action utilizing the original fancy ebony bridge is perfect, low and without buzz, go figure. The sound is pleasant clear, nice clean voice. The instrument does have some cracks, the treble side has several the back as well(pictured) and they have not been repaired or addressed. Inside ... morebraces look good no damage or repair evident. Early Stella instruments are very rare and when they are this early they are made by Oscar Schmidt of New Jersey the company famous for building Ledbelly’s 12 string. This mandolin would be considered fancy in their product line as evidenced by appointments. Stella Harmony 3/4 Size Acoustic Guitar ** project**
Up for sale is an old Harmony Stella guitar in pretty good shape. Made in USA. I think it is considered a 3/4 size. Or maybe a parlor guitar. I don't know a model number, or know the date of manufacture, but I believe these were made in the 60's. There are no big dents or holes in the guitar. There are some scratches and some finish fading. Neck joint appears to be tight. There is no warping. The frets look like they have plenty of life left. I have never had strings on this guitar. It is in need of a bridge, saddle, and nut. Everything else is there. This is a very easy project for someone. An original bridge can probably be found easily here on eBay. Vintage 1965 Stella by Harmony H931 Acoustic Guitar Birch Flatop Sunburst Flame
A beautiful Stella H931 produced in May 1965 as shown in the 9th picture. In very nice condition with just the small crack on the back near the neck. Everything appears tight and the sound is good. The case is in pretty nice condition considering the age of it. And it has done it's job well in protecting the guitar. Vintage Stella Harmony Acoustic Guitar 3/4 Child Size - 1967 Pristine
What a find! I purchased this on ebay a while back. Not realizing it was a child's guitar and that it would be too small for me to play comfortably. It measures 32 inches long and 11 1/4 across the lower bout. It is totally playable and the neck is straight for a Stella with the usual little bit of relief. I have it strung with light guage bronze strings and tuned down to D to reduce the stress on this vintage instrument. It is in pristine condition. A Christmas present in 1967 from a young man's grandmother. Included is the original case, the hang tag showing the case cost $7.95, a photo of the young man receiving the guitar as a gift(kind of like certificate of authenticity- lol) The guitar still has the sticker of the music store from which it was purchased(looks like it was stuck on yesterday. But of course it was not) and the ... moretuning pegs are pristine, no tarnish, no rust. The only flaw is the faint pick marks on the guitar face made by the pick included in the case. The obvious wild strumming of a happy child on Christmas day making a joyous noise in 1967. Also. The young boy for whatever reason tore off the top to the pick box in the case. Hate to sell item. Made by Oscar Schmidt/Stella. Guitar has square kerfling on the top and triangle on the bottom. 10th fret marker and arched back. Archtop is in nice condition with some light scratches. Mostly on the faux binding. There are 3 small stress cracks on the back, they are tight and do not seem to go through completely. Neck is straight and the angle looks pretty good. Frets are in nice condition with almost no wear. Some frets are sharp at the edges. Bridge is not original and is a bit too high for the guitar. It will need a lower bridge. Tuners are very nice. Guitar will need a new set of strings ... moreand a set up. Guitar has a nice woody. Bluesy tone. 39 1/2" overall length. 25 1/2" scale length. 1 3/4" width at nut. 14" lower bout. 9 7/8" upper bout. Vintage Harmony Stella guitar 1969 parlor inline strat style headstock
I have a few Harmony Stella guitars listed. They all play great but dont know much about them or their worth. Plays great normal wear and tear for its age! some scratches. Scuffs etc. see pictures! missing a washer that goes over the tuner before putting string on tuning spindle.the top nut on the headstock has shifted over to the left. Im guessing the adhesive or glue gave out and its either being held there by the strings themselves or the glue has dried back into that position. The guitar is faintly stamped with: S-69-B? Like mentioned. This is faint. I can read the S and the 69 but cannot for sure make out that it is actually a B or not. according to another ebayer this is model H933 I can send you actual pictures through email vs ebay. Guitar has not been repaired. Cleaned or altered in anyway.

One 1940s Stella. This guitar has had Electrification with Piezo Electric Pickup( THAT SOUNDS GOOD! and had all cracks glued& Re-Inforced with Wood on the INSIDE. I know that it is a WW2 Model as Originally it had a SOLID WOODEN TAILPIECE on it that left the UNFADED IMPRINT on the Front. I removed the WOODEN FOOTPLATE and took the Picture of the NON-FADED Part of the FACEBOARD just to show you. I then added the Vintage Old Stock METAL FOOTPLATE. The Bridge is a homemade one and while it appears a bit cobby is JUST the Right height to give the Right INTONATION on the Frets as far down as the seveth fret and with pRETTY GOOD INTONATION AFTER THAT! BAR CHORDING IS EASY to do even though the strings look too high they are NOT! 1965 VINTAGE HARMONY STELLA TENOR ACOUSTIC FLATTOP GUITAR - MODEL H929 - U.S.A.!
This is a 1965 Vintage Harmony Stella Tenor Acoustic Flattop Guitar model H929. Production on this model was 1951- 1970 from Harmony data base on web, it is Sunburst finish with vertical faux flame on the front and back, pin type bridge, it seems to be sound and tight, it tunes and plays, it has one bottom brace inside missing, the finish is coming off in spots, it has scratches and dings, the pictures should show this, it has a White painted binding on top and soundhole and Stella on the front headstock, it has White plastic pick guard and string pegs and key buttons and nut, open back tuners two on a plate, five White dots on the fretboard, wood bridge and end peg, the neck is straight, the stamped number inside is S-65 made in USA, no case comes with the guitar. C1920's celluloid beveled glass hand mirror. A souvenir from the Norwegian Cruise Line, Stella Polaris. It measures 3 1/4" in diameter. The mirror is a bit worn and the celluloid frame broken on one edge. Nice picture of the cruise ship on the front. Guaranteed as described. Goebel Porcelain Rosina Wachtmeister cats Massimo and Stella - 3 1/4" tall
The artist. Rosina Wachtmeister, was born in Vienna, Austrai, studied in Brazil and now lives near Rome. Her relationship with Goebel Porcelain dates back to 1997. These lovely porcelain cats are 3 1/4" tall and are in perfect, like-new condition. Stella's tail is straight and Massimo's is curled.
