Antique Wooden 3-Piece Fishing Rod 8 1/2' Originally 9'? Trolling
An interesting antique rod that has seen it's share of tinkering. I don't know woods-hickory. Oak? The butt section has a brass butt cap and a brass downlocking slide ring on the wooden reel seat. There is a large trumpet guide at the stripper site. The mid section has a brass spike ferrule, unclad spike. It has a two coil spiral guide and a tiny bell guide on a band, no wraps. The tip section may be 6" short. Note that the male ferrule is not brass and not spiked, may not be original but it fits well. There is a large trumpet guide and a double hole tip-top. Do not expect to fish this rod, great wall hanger.

Antique 8'8" Bamboo Casting or Trolling Rod 3/2, Bell Guides, Three Ring Tops
This unmarked rod has the Chubb railed nickel silver plated downlocking slide reel seat. The butt section is 1" short and I believe that the female ferrule on the butt section is a replacement. The large bell guide on the butt has been rewrapped. Note that the male ferrules on the tip sections are spiked. One of the two tip sections is 1 3/4" short. All of the bell guides on the mid and tips are tiny. The cane is sound. No delamination, and the finish is good. There are fishing sets to both tip sections. I wouldn't expect anyone to fish this rod. No bag or tube.

It comes to you in its' original package with the original labels still attached to both the rod and reel. The 4 1/2" diameter reel has an adjustable brake. Right or left hand, forward or rear grip and is in beautiful working condition. It has a black wood handle that is also in very nice condition. The brake handle has some minor discoloration on top from moisture that accumulated through the years. The rod is described as a"controlled action fiberglass blade" and has a faint green hue and a red band accent. The wooden handle grip is also in beautiful unused condition. Here is a medium to heavy boat trolling rod in fair to good condition. The emblem came off so i am not sure of maker or size but measures 6'6" long. The rod has 5 eyelets and 1 roller tip all intact. If you look at photos the clear coat is coming off but the wraps are intact. The reel seat is in good condition with double lock nuts. This is a vintage Garcia Conolon trolling rod. It is model WR573. It has 5 AFTCO Roller Guides all the way up. And an AFTCO Roller Tip. The Rod measures 6'5" in length, medium action, and rated for 30 LB test. It has a stainless steel reel seat, foam foregrip, foam butt grip, and gimbal. Nice Red/Blue wrapping.
