Up for auction is a vintage sea water trolling rod that is made from wood and was made in England(United Kingdom) as stamped on the brass end piece. The rod measures 37 inches in length. And is 1 inch in diameter at the base then narrowing down to 1/2 inch near the end of the rod. The reel is held in place with two brass rings, and the reel is full of copper wire line. The reel is 5 1/2 inches in diameter, and has a 1 inch channel for the line to collect. It looks like there were two wooden turn nobs, but one has been broken off. The item is in good condition for it's age as there is only normal wear and no other major issues then previously mention. Shimano Triton Trolling Series TT50 Reel and Stand Up Rod
Gently used Shimano TT50 reel and custom made stand-up rod. The rod was made by a rod builder in Marathon Florida and is 67" long with aluminum butt and roller guides. The TT50 reel is in very good condition with only slight indications of use. The reel was used eight or ten times over two summers. I sold the boat and the rod and reel went into storage for about 15 years until I rediscover them yesterday. All in fine working condition. Sabre Trolling Aftco Roller Rod Factory Wrapped/ VARMAC "Chocolate" "Vintage"
I have a used Factory wrapped Sabre 2 PC Trolling Rod in good condition. This rod has nicks and scratches all around from normal usage. Considering it's age IT'S not bad at all. There are 6 Aftco guides of which some have oxidation on them. All roller guides spin. wood butt with gimble, butt is sitting a little sideways in the varmac RS3 reel seat. Please look at pictures for more detailed descriptions. These rods also known as"Chocolate series rods which are rare and hard to find and even consider as a collectible. Either re do or use as is.
