I've sold a lot of Ugly Stiks but this is the first to have no markings on the rod. I think this may be a vintage rod since it was purchased from a S.C. estate sale. Due to no markings, and the thatching is red& black instead of gold& black. It is 71" long when assembled and in good condition. It also comes with a Silstar FX35 reel with whatever line is on it. CONDITION This rod is classified as USED. I would further classify this rod as being in GOOD condition. This rod shows a lot of use. But seems to have a lot of use left in it. Cosmetically the rod is only in good condtion with numerous scrapes and rubs. The stenciling that identifies the characteristics of this rod is illegible. The rod blank is black with black guide wraps trimmed with red& amber. The handle is plastic and molded rubber. SHIPPING CHARGES Recent updates in postal charges call for substantially higher charges for very long packages. This rod will ship in a 4" diameter heavy-duty tube that is approximately 7' ~2m) long. These tubes are long& heavy. Heavy-duty tubes are required to protect the rod in transit. I'm doing the best that I can to hold shipping charges down. VINTAGE UGLY STIK FISHERMAN FIGURINE PREOWNED
This is for one pre-owned hand painted ceramic figurine and hand made ugly stik. This is the one that didn't get away. Any fisherman knows. Sometimes fishing can be a lot of work. The figurine standa approx. 9 3/4" tall from the bottom of the wood base to the top of the fishing pole and is about 5" by 3 1/2" wide. The figurine is painted with acrylic paint and sprayed with a varnish. DO NOT WASH THIS WITH WATER! Lightly dust only. The actual measurement of the rod is 5 feet and 5 and 1/4 inches long, 3/4 inches shorter than the designation of 5’6” but the rod tip has not been broken. This might just be the actual length of the rod, but if shorter, it would be from the butt section ferrule end which should have no bearing on the rods fishing designation. I believe this is the 1976. First year Shakespeare Ugly Stik, 7' SP 1100. My understanding is the first year was the only year Shakespeare made the Ugly Stik with black wrapping, white pin striping, next year had the familiar red and yellow basket weave at the grip. The rod that was so ugly, they named it Ugly Stik. This example is ugly and fully functional. The eyes are all tight and ready for heavy fresh or light salt or the wall, thanks.

Should be a super easy fix with a little 2 part epoxy. A few have a damaged guide or are missing a guide. There are a couple rods that do not need any repair as far as I can tell.
