Nice Shakespeare Ugly Stik Baitcasting Fishing Rod 1 Piece Heavy Action-BWC 1120
It’s used and in Very Good condition. It’s a one piece baitcasting rod that measures 5’6” All components such as the guides. Tip-top, wrappings, Fuji handle, padded grips, butt cap, etc. are original and secure. Including the tip-top, it has 7 guides; all with ceramic inserts. It also features a power tip. It’s a heavy action rod that has a recommendation of 15-25 lb. test line. The foam padded fore grip and handle have a few dings such as a scrape mark, a couple tiny holes from being used as a hook keeper and an impression from a plastic band that was wrapped around it to hold a reel more securely onto the seat. None of the aforementioned are serious at all and I’ll show that in the photos. I see a couple insignificant rub marks on the blank. Again, almost insignificant. They are barely noticeable. The model number is BWC 1120. It’s a very ... morenice rod and I still rate it Very Good. I’ll let the photos say the rest. The rod will be shipped in a very thick cardboard shipping tube of industrial strength. Shipping weight is 3 lbs. 14 oz. Please see shipping calculator for actual postage cost for US sales. The rod shows signs of wear from normal use. And typical of a used saltwater pole it has some surface corrosion and chrome finish loss on some of the metal eyes. I noticed there are hairline cracks in the finish where a few of the eyes are mounted. All of the eyes are solid and and do not move and the tiny cracks are a common occurrence, but I try to point out every single detail. VINTAGE Shakespeare Ugly Stik XL USA Graphite Filled Fishing Rod SN 46817
You are bidding on a VINTAGE Shakespeare Ugly Stik XL Casting Fishing Rod in nice working condition with some typical ware marks/light scratches for a rod of this vintage. You can read the label on the rod. But it has faded so you will have to look close. Label reads Ugly Stik XL USA. It says handle is Graphite Filled with Serial Number 46817(see pics) This is a one piece rod that measures 5 1/2 feet long. Rod has no line or lure rating. On the butt of the handle there is a glass(plastic) insert that reads XL. It is equipped with 6 ceramic line guides and wraps. The gloss on the wraps show a little dulling to the finish, but hold the guides tight. The first guide down from the tip guide has been“compressed” a little, but no other damage and this does not hurt the fishing ability of the rod. You can see that the screw on the handle for tightening ... morethe reel clamp has rusted on top, but this only affects appearance, i.e. the screw threads in and out easily and works great for clamping the reel to the rod. This Vintage Rod is ready to fish or add to your collection.
