This GLoomis 1207-2(10' 7wt) fly rod is in excellent, very lightly used condition. There is very minor soiling on the cork- other than that, no issues. What a great dry fly rod for atlantic salmon. It's length makes mending a piece of cake. Sure it would be tough to carry this 2-piecer on as carry-on luggage, but for the fly angler that travels on the ground, a single ferrule makes for a great action rod(and two or three fewer ferrules to worry about! SOUTH BEND #47, 8 1/2 foot Vintage Split Bamboo Fly Rod, in original tube
You are bidding on a very nice#47 South Bend split bamboo fly rod. I dont see any cracks or breaks in the bamboo or the metal couplers. All sections are straight and the same length. All ferrules and windings are tight on all four sections. The reel seat is excellent with all pieces intact. The cork handle is excellent.The tube is solid and shows wear but its unbroken. You can see in my photos that a sticker is missing off the side of the tube. The cloth sleeve has a#47 South Bend tag on it.This rod really looks like it wasnt used very much.Its extra clean. For sale is a vintage.MONTAGUE SUNBEAM split bamboo fly rod that is about 8 1/2 feet long assembled.The two sets of male/female ferrules fit together very tight. I inserted each a short distance and encountered much resistance.Probably need a good coat of wax or lubricant.I will leave that to the buyer.Only other negatives I could find are that the first[only] eye on the handle section is missing and one eye on the middle section is missing.The label on the bamboo is intact and easiily readible. The label on the handle is mostly gone. There are a few cracks in the cork handle but no missing cork pieces.The reel seat lock nut urns freely. The bag is free of any rips or tears but has normal age related dirt and darkening. I don't know if it is the original bag for the rod; it is unmarked.

This is a very early(1960s) San Francisco Winston fiberglass fly rod and the very lightest model they made at this time. Rod is 7' 6" long. 2-Piece, 3oz and was designed to cast a WF-5. It also casts a DT-4 just as nicely. Rod is in mint condition. Brown blank ruby-red thread wraps with translucent white tipping; Winston's old"Trophy" logo; ring-style hook keeper; traditional half-wells grip; champagne. Down-locking Cal-Air aluminum reel seat; small tungsten or nickel silver stripping guide. Rod is in mint condition. There is no yellowing of the varnish whatsoever(see photos) Ferrules are in excellent condition with 3/16" gap remaining. Original red Winston rod bag and tube. No photos of the tube as it is being shipped to me from my second home; they will be posted later. Rod is in such good condition that when ... moreI purchased it in the late 1990s it still had its length and physical weight(3oz) written on the grip from the factory. This is both a blessing and a curse: at the time of production Winston was a bamboo rod builder; fiberglass rods were not a priority; consequently Winston did not bother with writing model numbers. Serial numbers, weights or line recommendations on the blanks. Hence length and physical weight were written on the cork! This fact may turn off buyers accustomed to collecting Winston glass rods from the 1970s(which had length and line weight designations written on the blank) or later rods that actually had serial numbers; serious collectors of these rods know perfectly well that these rods left the Winston shop in precisely the condition this one is in. All reasonable offers are welcome. I have seen these rods fetch as much as $1250 in the past 24 months but so few come on the market that I cannot gauge its actual value. Buyer pays shipping. Has two stripper guides and a Fuji seat. The Fuji seat may not be the prettiest to most people but they are bomb proof. I am a big fan of them. I paid $100 just for this rod and that was a bargain. I am offering all of this for a $99 start price. The Martin 67SS-A reel comes with line. Shows minor wear. Most noticeable is a spot on the spool. Pawls are good. Nice click pawl reel. No clue what the line is but think its a wf5f line. Next is a Fenwick fly rod. It was an 8"6 6/7 wt but I cut a couple foot off the butt and remounted the grip and moved the stripper. I'm selling a Tenkara USA Iwana rod. This rod has been out a few times but looks almost new. It has seen minimal use. I am including with this rod 11 feet of 4.5 Tenkara USA Hi-Vis flurocarbon line and five 5 feet of 6# flurocarbon tippet. I am also including 6 hand tied Amano style flies. The flies are tied with Japanese Super Yamame hooks and have a silk eye and silk body with pheasant feather hackle. I'm selling this rod because I have a Tenkara USA Ayu 2 rod that I prefer.
