Exceptional vintage bamboo flyrod by H.L. Leonard. The rod is an 8 foot. 3 piece, with 2 tips. The finish of the rod is honey color and is a catskill style small 4 1/4" cigar handle with 3 1/4" butternut reel seat, nickle-plated hardware, dark red original silk wraps with English reverse twist snake guides. The furrel tip has the patent dates of Sept.3, 1873 and below that Oct. 26, 1875. All pieces are equal in length, the finish is in excellent condition and wraps are in same condition. The metal case which is the Leonard comes with the rod, but the screw cap is missing. The rod bag is not original but works. The 2 female furrel plugs are intact and included. There is no serial number, which dates this rod prior to 1964 but is probably much older after researching similiar rods and contacting the company. Need a project to produce something very nice. This old 6 sided Shakespear bambo fly rod just might be it! The reel keeper says"1301-8-81/2 SHAKESPEAR made in the U.S.A. Pat. No 1.510.906. Some of the thread wrapping is coming loose and it may be missing a lower eye. Both the tip and the extra tip are missing the top eye but the bambo allseems in good shape. Vintage P&K Modernist split bamboo tonkin cane fly fishing rod 8 1/2 feet long
I have for sale a hard to find and great size vintage 8&1/2 food split bamboo fly rod with tube and sock. Ready for fishing or collecting. Label is P&K otherwise known as Pachner and Koller out of Chicago. Rod looks like it was made by Horrocks and Ibbotson(H&I) There are two re-wraps on the mid section but all sections are equal length. Beautiful agate or agatine stripper guide on the butt section. each section measures 35 inches long and when fitted together the rod is 102 inches or 8 feet. 6 inches long. Nice length for a 3 piece rod. Rod probably dates to late 1940's early 1950's. Check out the pictures!

RARE TURTLE BRAND CREEL WILLOW WHOLE REED FLY FISHING CREEL EXCELLENT CONDITION
Up for grabs is a beautiful Turtle Brand willow creel. Whole reed woven body in excellent condition. Top is about 9 1/2" across and gradually tapers out to about 13" across the bottom. It is 7" tall. The weave is accented by a dark twisted reed band along the hinged lid edge. Wooden rule top as well as the trademark carved wooden turtle sliding latch(marked Turtle Trade Mark) The creel is incredibly preserved and functions perfectly. Just needs a good dusting. You might reference this creel on page 111 of The Art of the Creel. Don't let this one get away.

This STUNNING 10’ 3 piece split cane rod is marked with the magic'Hardy' name along with Royal Warrants. It has the Reg. No. E76034 dating this rod to 1951. It has striking olive green eyelet wingdings and bronze lock-fast ferrules. It has a cork handle with a little damage as in picture and an alloy reversible butt spear that fits inside the handle. There is one eyelet missing also shown in picture This rod is an absolutely stunning example. With little damage for its age. The bamboo is in good condition.it is still flexible and does not have any cracks. There is a crack to the metal connect on the upper half of the rod. The connection is still securely attached. But has the crack shown in picture#7. The metal guide at the end of the rod has seen the finish wear off- picture#9. There are various nicks/paint transfer on different sections of the rod. Some of the nicks have removed small sections of clear coat. These are just minor cosmetic imperfections and do not affect the integrity of the rod. The Montague sticker is missing a small section. Edgar Sealey 'Nufloat' Three Section Vintage Split Cane Fishing Rod
A vintage(early/mid 60s? three section split cane fishing rod. 11ft long- I believe it is the Edgar Sealey'Nufloat' model but the transfers are damaged so just reading'ealey' and'FLOAT' The good things are the cane is nice and straight and the handle is remarkably clean. The downsides are some of the rings are clearly rusted and in need of replacement. The top ring, red agate lined with screw tip fitting) has been poorly whipped on(presumably a replacement for the original? and there seems to be a problem with the top section ferrule, which looks like it was coming adrift at some point and has been stuck back on(badly) Would definitely benefit from some care and attention but hopefully easily restored. Rare 'Wallop Brook' 2pc, Split Cane, 8 1/2' Trout Fly Rod by Constable.
This is a hard rod to find. Especially in this condition. The rod is virtually unfished. The only sign of use is a slight, very slight discolouring of the cork handle. On offer is a Dermot Wilson. The Wallop Brook' 2pc, Split Cane Trout Fly Rod built by Constable of Bromley. The rod measures 8' 2" in length and is for use with lines rated at#5/6. The rod comes in its makers cloth bag and in a protective alloy tube. You will note from the picture that the butt section is shorter than the tip which was peculiar to the Constable rods. Their thinking being that the tip is where the action came from. It is made to sit comfortably in the rod bag by using an elongated ferrule stopper which helps protect the tip when in carriage. The rod is immaculate.
