Superb Vintage Antique Scott PowRply Graphite 2-Piece Fly Rod Model G958. This famous G-series rod was built in the 1970’s at the original San Francisco plant. It is in new condition. With no dings or scrapes or scratches on any kind anywhere on the rod or handle. The markings on the rod are hand-written, and they are: 9.5’ 8 Line” Under that is“3 ½ oz.G958∙15∙8794” On the opposite side is“Harry Langston” The writing on the rod appears to have been done by Harry Wilson, who founded the company in 1974. The rod is brown in color and has the internal ferrules, which indicate it was made between 1978 and 1981, appropriate for serial number 8794. The soft sock is divided into two parts so that the rod’s 2 pieces are separated when the rod is slipped into the factory tube case. Excellent & Beautiful Vintage 73" Bamboo/Wood Fishing Rod Pole Antique
73 inch old bamboo fishing pole. It is in great condition with maybe a couple scratches on the wood. It is missing the tip. I cannot find any markings on it such as a brand or maker. I don't think it's homemade though. It looks too much like some of the old brand name ones. This must be one heck of a rod because as I was buying it I had 3 or 4 people mad that I got to it first and the owner considered raising the price with all the people interested. It is beautiful. Could look great on the wall of a den or man cave. Please ask questions before buying.

The varnish finish is a little"bubbles" in a few places but there are no cracks or breaks. The two tip section have slight bends as can be seen in photos number 1 and 2. Auction is for a Vintage Fenwick Model SF74-4 4 Piece Voyager Pack/Travel Spinning Rod or Fly Rod Fishing Rod. A nice old rod that shows some signs of use but is in nice used condition. The rod is a 7' Model SF74-4 3 7/8 oz. rod featuring the Fenwick Feraite"Twist on Twist off" sections. Rod was designed for AFTMA Fly Line No.6 and 3-6# line for the spinning rod using 1/8 to 3/8 oz. lures. Each rod section measures approx. 22 1/2" long. The rod is nice but is missing the black butt cap. The label showing serial# I 17223 is coming off at the edges and a couple of the wire eyes are a little misshaped. I used it once to catch about 40 grayling up in BC and since then it has sat in my closet. This rod casts like a whisper- the action is fabulous for light weight fishing. Vintage 2 piece split cane fly rod 5' 4" length with aluminium oxide guide and cork handle. Manyfacturer is"Erink" and the markings on the label are: Erink Qualitats Seit 1757 Angelgerate. The rod is in good condition with the bindings on the loops intact. There is a small split in the connecting ferrel but when put together the rod is still really solid. A new coat of varnish would enhance the overall appearance but the rod could easily be used as it is. Up for bids is this vintage 9' Fly Rod with sock. This is 3-piece and each piece is 36" The rod is metal. The ends have brass inserts where the ends go together and there is brass that holds the eyelets on. The handle is wood and it says on the metal part that reel fits into it says VIM with an arrow on each side of it the ring that holds other end of reel says Made in U.S.A. The rod has some paint chipping and it looks like maybe it was green and then painted black. There is an interesting story with this item I bought this from a friend of mine that used to go fishing with MORT NEFF who used to have an outdoors show here in Michigan. Heddon Pal #6279 Musky Special 6'1" Heavy Duty Act. Vintage Casting Rod-PERFECT!
This Heddon Musky rod is the very rare and collectable 6 ft. 1 inch model. The more common rod that everyone seems to have is the 5 1/2' one. This rod has not surfaced on any ebay auction for a long time. This is# 6279 and its in unbelievably good condition. The cork is perfect on both parts of the handle. the chrome on handle is unscratched and shines like new. All of the wraps are in perfect condition along with the eyelets. The writing above handle is in perfect legible condition. This is an all around great addition for anybody's vintage fishing collection. 2 antique fly rods-Simmons Royal 4 piece + 3 piece unmarked split bamboo
2 antique split bamboo fly rods. One is marked Simmons Royal and is a 4 piece 9' with 2 tiplets but missing one ferrel on one of the tips and 2 eyes from the middle piece but otherwise in great shape. The 2nd rod is also split bamboo 3 piece 8' rod unmarked as much as I can see and missing the eyes but the last 3 on the tip end are there and nice. Do not know much about them but super low start as always so good luck and please check my other auctions.

The only blemish I could find was the scratch on the reel seat as seen in the last picture. This may have been a manufacturing defect as the rod shows no signs of use. The Rod is about as nice as one will find. Lite letter loss it typical while Complete lettering of"Genuine" normally always Lost is fully intact. Custom Built and the rods Specs are in Excellent Plus Condition and where one really finds the telltale evidence of use is on the Aetna Wire Guides. Normally mashed, separated, with fine'Saw Marks' showing the line has cut into the metal and that the guide has seen it's better day and has the potential for fraying and cutting your new Quality Line that hopefully isn't Connected to a Record Breaking Fish! This rod has none of these things we Collector/ Anglers look for. Nor are there any Winding Fractures typical of old Varnish and more prevalent on newer rods using epoxy Vs more flexible polyurethane or varnish. The Ferrules are simply Perfect and what most don't look for and half the time missing is the Metal Plug on the Male End of the Ferrule. Vintage 1950's SOUTH BEND No. 291 Fishing Rod 7-1/2' 4/1 Split Bamboo MINT CONDITION CIRCA 1950 SOUTH BEND NO.291 7-1/2 FT. 4/1 SPLIT BAMBOO FLY"PACK" ROD WITH THE ORIGINAL LABELED BAG& FIBER TUBE" The No.291 was introduced by the South Bend Bait Company after WWII. As evidenced by the rectangular"SOUTH BEND- A Name Famous In Fishing" rodshaft decal and sold until about 1952. Only available in the 7-1/2' 4/1 configuration, the No.291 was basically a 4-piece version of the No.290 and remains the only"pack" rod I know of produced by South Bend. Rodshaft is also stamped"E or HDH" near the decal and"291- 7-1/2' on an opposite flat. The"E or HDH" is the old line weight designation equivalent to today's modern 5 or 6 wt. lines. offered for sale are 2 old antique fishing rods& reels Both are one piece steel rods with old reels The top rod and reel combination in the photos is( the one with the brown wooden handles) is unmarked as to a maker that I can find. The reel is an old Shakespeare Service casting reel. Both the rod and reel show light wear and some light corrision on the metal parts. The rod is 52 inches long. Really neat wooden handle-that may be walnut or some hard wood. The reel works fine but does need cleaning. The bottom rod and reel combination in the photos is marked True Temper Raider. This rod comes with an old Pflueger Skilkast casting reel in pretty nice condition. This rod is 56 inches long- the rod has a little rusting on the metal but overall it is in decent shape for a 70-100 year old fishing rod. The reel works fine. These 2 rod and reel ... morecombinations would make a nice display of vintage rods and reels and are not to often found anymore. Selling exactly how they were found. 1919-1920 HEDDON #6 "Jim Heddon's Favorite" 5' Split Bamboo Bait Casting Rod
It's my pleasure to offer at auction an Extremely Nice and somewhat Scarce 1919-1920 HEDDON NO.6"JIM HEDDON'S FAVORITE" 5 FT. 2-PIECE SPLIT BAMBOO BAIT CASTING ROD WITH THE ORIGINAL STAMPED ALUMINUM HEDDON TUBE& CORRECTLY LABELED BAG. First introduced in 1910 as"The No.5 Rod" the"Jim Heddon's Favorite" would continue to sell as Heddon's most popular bait casting rod for a staggering 43 years. Because this example has the reel seat simply stamped"HEDDON'S" which was only used in 1919 and 1920, it makes it a really easy rod to date. Although no Heddon catalogs exist from 1919 or 1920, I've added a photo of an original listing for the rod from a 1919 Heddon dealer mailer. Built with high-grade Calcutta cane and comes equipped with full yellow agate guides& tip top, quality ... morenickel silver welted ferrules, knurled hardware throughout, metal winding check& buttcap, Heddon's patented locking band reel seat, solid cork grip& foregrip made of narrow 1/8" cork rings and closely wound in red silk with black& gold trim. There are no less than 73 individual wraps. Rod is in solid Very Fine condition for these, showing only light to moderate wear. Rod has been lightly restored, with new wraps and varnish, done entirely to original. Bamboo is perfect, with no splits, cracks or delamination whatsoever. Both sections are the correct length, with the tip having only a light set. Varnish and all windings are pristine. The tip top, ferrules, winding check and buttcap are very excellent. The lower line guide has a few hairlines, but all guides are solid and complete. Solid cork grip and foregrip are in superb condition. Reel seat works perfectly, with bold stamping. Put up in the original green satin bag, which is in excellent condition, with no holes or tears.
