Heddon 9 ft split bamboo fly rod made in Michigan pre 1952. Excellent condition and all guides are intact. Also has extra tip. Original cloth cover is included. Fly rod was my grandfathers and has caught a lot of fish. Many many good fishing years still available with this rod. On Feb-16-13 at 21:17:47 PST. Seller added the following information: Edit: Several folks have asked about any writing above the cork handle. There are none. Either Heddon didn't write anything there or my grandfather wore it off from use. If Heddon didn't write anything there. Then it must have been from earliest days when they may not have. The cloth tag is fairly old as well. The wt and length are clearly seen, but it's hard to read the rest. I'll try to get a decent photo of the tag& post it Sunday. The brass ring that holds the reel has a patent ... morenumber stamped on it so I will get that as well, but it too is hard to read. That is all. On Feb-17-13 at 13:15:02 PST. Seller added the following information: Edit: More pics added today and the patent number on the rod is 1524052. Though the cloth tag is hard to read. After three people inspected it we came to the conclusion it looks like a model 10. Also on the bottom of the tag, the letter S appears as if it was inspected by someone who's name started with the letter S. My father told me that his father had bought the rod new prior to him graduating from H.S. in 1952.

Nice Montague Flash Bamboo Rod. Not perfect but is in perfect working order. Bamboo is mint nice and straight like new factory fresh, cork is mint, all sections fit nice, I did find a hair line crack in the ferrules in both tip sections only, very minor it took a magnifying glass to notice, all sections do pop out nice. The reel seat works perfect but has a crack as shown in pictures. Rod is 8'6" all section same size. Rod does have orignal sock and tube(less metal cap) will ship inside another tube for safety.

NO RESERVE AUCTION with Buy it Now Wright McGill Granger Special 9 foot 3 piece with 2 tips. All pieces equal length. This rod is in fantastic near mint condition. I have fished this rod and it is a 6 to 7 weight rod. I hate to sell it. But I have too many. I recently had the ferrules on the mid section re-glued and professionally re-wrapped. He did a great job matching up the thread and varnish. You can tell there is a slight gloss over the new wraps, but that can be dulled with a little steel wool if you like. Look at the pictures of the ferrules and see if you can tell. Otherwise, this rod is ready to fish everything is tight and like new in original condition. I hated to have the ferrules reglued because we had to cut the original wraps, but I wanted this rod to be fished, and i wanted to fish it. The tube has a dent in it and some scuffs ... morebut really a nice little aluminum tube. This is the real deal. If you want a nice collectable Granger that you can fish and not have to do anything to, this is the rod. Reel and fish not included in the one picture above. I am an honest seller. And my goal is to put these rods and reels back on the rivers and streams to be used rather than collect dust. I try to find good quality product and take high quality photos to let the buyer know what they are getting. I also try as best I can to let you know everything I know about the rod. Vintage 1960's Garcia Conolon Model 2040 Rare Garcia Conolon Rod
You are bidding or a very rare 1960's Garcia Conolon Model 2040 USA 8 foot dry fly action 4piece pack rod/ travel rod in excellent condition. The rod does not have any paint or stars on it for grading its level. I believe that would makes it a pre 1965 Deluxe Garcia Conolon rod from the information I found on it. Printed on the lower decal is 2040 8' Dry Fly Action. Use: D-HDH-GBF which I believe means the rod was meant to be use with AFTMA line weight from of 6- 8 that’s my best guess. According to the blogs Garcia Conolon 2040 Deluxe Series was their first pack rod. I shot extra pictures in higher resolution to show the rod’s condition. It does not shows any signs of ever being fished with or used from what I can tell. The gold O- ring ferrel’s show no signs of being pressed together ore does the reel seat show signs of a reel ever ... morebeing placed on it. The Decals are as if the came straight from the factory as is the coating on its wrapped ferrel ends. The guides/ snake have never been bent or repaired nor has their wrapping threads show signs of use. There are some very tinny scratches on its glass& metal surfaces. Take the time to examine the pictures below to see what I have described. If you’re a collector of rare rods or just want to fish with a very rare Garcia’s Rod from the 60's it will be a long time before a rod of this condition& caliber will be offered again. Vintage Hardy Favourite. Graphite Salmon Fly Rod#11 16' 3-piece plus original spare top section. This rod is in quite exceptional condition. Alnwick built on a deep brown blank with scarlet whippings. The cork handle. Reel seat and rings are all first rate. The blank has only the lightest of cosmetic marks. If this rod has been used, which I would question, it has been loved and cherished. Complete with unmarked four section Hardy rod bag and three polished aluminium ferrule protectors. Without doubt one of the finest Hardy Favourites I have ever seen. Perfect for the collector. Or for the angler. Vintage Fenwick Lunkerstik Lunker Stik Model 1255 Fishing Rod 10-18 lb Line RARE
This is a RARE Fenwick Rod! It is the Lunker Stik 1255. It is 5.5" and 9.25 oz. Uses 0.5-1oz lures and 10-18 lb line. The serial number is J98894. This rod is in great shape for its age. All of the eyes are intact and solid. The cork is in great shape and not dry-rotting at all. One of the rarest pieces on this rod is the endcap on the handle. It is intact and shows the Fenwick logo. There are minor scuffs on the rod and handle. But nothing that detracts from the rarity and beauty of this piece. Don't let this one get away from you! Nice bamboo fly rod with original cloth rod bag. Rod is in very good condition. No blemishes or fading. No cracking of finish. I have owned this rod for about 30 years. Fished it once in awhile, but, mostly has been stored. I have a PVC rod tube that I will include with the rod, however, it is not original and has no end cap. This is a sought after Ritz Parabolic action fly rod. It is a 5 weight rod, 2 pieces and is 7 FT 4 Inches long. Perfect trout rod. The serial numbers on the butt section and tip section match.

RARE HARNELL GEORGE HINE 10' ROD SANTA MONICA CALIFORNIA BLACK SURF GLASS NR
a no reserve auction from a New London County estate is an original Harnell ten foot long rod in super clean condition less stain marks on the lower wrapping as seen in photos. this rod does include its original off white canvas sock sleeve. this rod has remained in a heated basement shelf since 1961 th is rod does come in 2 pc and the shipping size is eight feet long five inches wide and one inch height. this will be packed and shipped by the UPS packing store and will be fully insured. i have been quoted for the tube. Packing material, insurance and freight charges $110 to California, $90 to Miami. And $75 to Jersey. should the charges be less than you paid i will refund the difference. I do not profit on shipping. Harnell was formed in 1946 by John Harrington. The name Harnell was created by combining the Har in Harrington and nell from ... morethe last name of Harrington's good friend and partner. Lavern Rennells. Harrington was born in 1901 on the Choctaw Nation Indian Reservation in Oklahoma. His family migrated west and by 1921 he was working resurfacing roads for the State of California Highway Department. This led him to work on the Boulder Dam project and by 1940 he had moved to Santa Monica. California, and joined Douglas Aircraft as a tool man. Harrington was transferred by Douglas to Chicago during WW II to work on the setup of O'Hare Field. He built his first casting rod in 1945 using square weave fiberglass for airplanes and casting glue. It was not an overly good rod given the fact that the fiberglass and resins were not designed for that use, but it gave him a start in fiberglass rod making. Following the war, her returned to Santa Monica with Douglas, but soon left to start Harnell. By the middle of 1945, he had perfected making commercial fiberglass tubular rod blanks by 1946. Harrington's first shop was opened in Santa Monica in a building above MRM Enamelers. He used their oven at night to cure his rods with his designs.
