This listing is for a vintage Millers Falls cigar spoke shave. The tool has a patent date of Feb.19.1884. The tool is complete and was senior owned and well taken care of. The tool has solid handles and a good blade. The blade looks good but may need some sharpening to be effective. The tool does not have any personal markings. The tool has no significant damage but does have a few marks on the handles which we tried to picture. Overall this tool looks good for the age and is a nice collectible shave. Whose motto is"Ready Aye Ready" Probably a cigar box but could be used for other items. Complete with key. 59th Scinde Rifles(Frontier Force) history The 59 Scinde Rifles(Frontier Force) was an infantry regiment of the British Indian Army.The regiment is one of the most reputed outfits of British Indian Army. It was raised in 1843. As the Scinde Camel Corps. In 1856, it was incorporated into the Punjab Irregular Force(PIF) It was designated as the 59th Scinde Rifles(Frontier Force) in 1904 and became 6th Royal Battalion(Scinde) 13th Frontier Force Rifles in 1922. Subsequent to the reforms brought about in the Indian Army by Lord Kitchener in 1903. The regiment's designation ... morewas changed to 59th Scinde Rifles(Frontier Force) In 1914, the regiment's class composition was three companies of Pathans, two companies each of Sikhs and Dogras, and one company of Punjabi Muslims. During the First World War. The regiment served with great gallantry on the Western Front in 1914–15, fighting in the Battles of Givenchy and Neuve Chapelle, the Second Battle of Ypres and the Battle of Loos. Lieutenant William Bruce was awarded the Victoria Cross during the Battle of Givenchy. In 1916. The regiment arrived in Mesopotamia. Here. You are bidding on a killer old cigar box thats made to look like a book. The Eagle Cigar Factory closed in 1915 so this Longfellow Cigar box was made before that. I cant find this exact box but think it could have been made in the 1800's. Its 6X71/2" and held 50 cigars. Shows wear but still looks good. Neat advertising collectable. This is a rare old Wilton armetale/pewter cigar ashtray that measures 9 1/2" across the bowl. The lettering around the outside rim says"A WOMAN IS ONLY A WOMAN. BUT A GOOD CIGAR IS A SMOKE" Wilton's old Columbia, PA hallmarks appear on the bottom along with the number 113 which has been covered by felt to create a scratch free bottom. A charming collection, bound in still bright off-white cloth with gilt stamped title on spine, along with Art Nouveau–decorative perimeter. Many poems inside about smoking, mainly with pipe or cigar, but several about cigarettes.
