Nippon Punch Bowl & Stand Split Handles Scenic Roses Gold Moriage Enamel Jewels
A recent acquisition from an upscale estate. This set is gorgeous. Has the large punch bowl type upper and a three legged lower holder stand. The pedestal bowl has a wonderful image of a water scene with a cottage and outbuildings settled into a grove of trees at the edge of the water. In the foreground is a rose bush with several pinkish hand painted roses upon the rose bush that has both the shades of green leaves as well as thorns upon the branches. This image also has silhouettes of clouds and depth to the water. Up the sides from the hand painted region is a wonderful pattern.see picture 6 for more detail. A wide pattern with a combination of both raised gold moriage. And enameled jewels. Each area is divided into quadrants.a total of 6. In the center is a pink rose with gold moriage borders.a gold moriage bow at the top and a shape ... morerepresenting a rather wreath like design with the enameled jewels in a soft green color.very nice. Branching horizontally from this area is a leaf and stem pattern in solid gold. Bordering the sides are raised gold moriage beads. At the rimis a wide gold band that has a single row of beads upon it. Directly under this region is a vertically presented design of gold lines. Going up and over to the outside rim is yet another gold band with a row of beads. Branching from this is a swag pattern in gold with raised gold beads upon it. In each of these swag areas is a hand painted gold scroll design. The base of the bowl has a wide gold band with a double row of beads. The two split handles have gold covering them. The base has three gold feet. At the rim is a wide band with a brownish gold background color. Upon it is a raised gold moriage design. Each piece is marked with the Hand Painted Nippon with the wreath and the letter M inside of it in the authentic mark. This large size vintage woven oak picnic basket is the perfect size for a family outing. Still sturdy after all these years. Fill it with confidence: It is made of a light color wood with double wooden handles and two metal hinges attaching the lid on at the back. It is unvarnished. There is no closure. Inside the lid is a row of loops for holding small items. Approximate Measurements: Height: 20 1/2" Width: 12 1/2" Depth: 10 1/2" This basket is in good. Nippon Footed Ferner Bowl HP Roses Cobalt Blue & Gold Accents Split Handles
Up for bid is this pretty hand painted ferner bowl. These ferners are getting harder and harder to find. Originally used to place plants in to prevent the water from getting on the furniture and staining it. This one could have held a sizeable plant because of its size. It measures in at a bit over 9 inches at the widest by about 4 1/4 inches tall. The hand painting has several pinkish red roses with shades of green leaves accenting them. All of this on a white background color. Around the upper and lower area of the bowl is a wavy cobalt blue decoration with gold scroll upon it. The four large cobalt feet also have gold design upon them. At the flat rim is a gold covering that goes up and into the bowl.on the inside you will see hand painted scroll on a creamy colored background color. A gold band next then yet another wavy cobalt and gold ... morearea. This piece is unmarked. The two handles start as one at the lower portion then divide and split into two attaching to the upper portion.these have gold accents upon them as well. The inside is white porcelain. Upon inspection. I cannot detect any chips, cracks or repairs. I do note some typical gold loss more prevalent at the high traffic areas. Please see closeups. This auction is for the SIX pieces of bamboo fishing rods. This old fly rod fishing rod lot includes 6 pieces of split bamboo fishing rods. The old fishing rod lot has THREE Cork handles. One Middle section and Two bamboo tips. The old fishing lure or old fishing rod collector may be able to put these to use with using the wire guides, cork handles or maybe the wood parts of the old rods? I am not sure if these used to be Heddon fly rods fishing rods or what? The old wood fishing rods have no markings on them. The three bottom sections of the old fly rod pieces do have cork handles. A vintage bamboo sewing basket hinged with handles. Very colorful basket greenish. Purplish and natural bamboo color. Made in Japan stamped on the bottom of the basket. The inside is lined with a bright red vinyl material. I don't know the exact age or maker but the basket is in good overall condition. Nice Vintage Chef's Double Blade MEZZALUNA With Split Nut Rosewood Handles
Vintage chef's mezzaluna with very sharp 17" x 2-3/8" double cutting blades in nice usable condition. A larger size than I have seen. Handles of rosewood with split brass nuts and copper alloy end caps with attractive design. One handle has a crack as shown but it is tight and does not effect the handling or operation of the tool. The blades have some discoloration from years of oxidization but are still excellent in cutting as they were intended. The nuts holding the handles to the blades are marked 1 thru 4 indicating they are original. There is no makers mark that I could find but it is definitely a quality piece that should be put back to work. Please inquire with any questions. This auction is for a vintage Schrade Walden N.Y. U.S.A. 804 folding three blade split-back whittler knife with peach seed bone handles. Probably dating back to the 1940’s. It measures about 3 ¾” closed. The knife is in very good visual condition with no damage but there is some discoloration on the blades and they have seen some use. The snap on the large blade is very positive. The other two are not. The blades are not extremely sharp. I believe the liners are brass and the bolsters are nickel. Guaranteed old and original. Shipping is additional and will be added to the cost of the item.
