Bible is full of photos and how-to information. Great collector item for anglers as well. Book is in fair shape with a little wear and tear but no missing pages or rips etc. Also included in this sale is a pair of Fenwick Wallets. These are designed by one of the original fly fishing companies and are made to carry your leaders and tippets. They have slots for your items and seal shut with strong Velcro. They were my go-to accessories for line storage for 10 years on fly fishing. They show very little wear and proudly display the Fenwick name that was a dominating force in the fly fishing world in the 70s through 80s.

Lot of(144) Vintage Blind Eye Fish Hooks and(43) Tippet Rings Description Offered for auction- a lot of vintage blind eye hooks of various sizes that probably dates from the early 1900's. There are actually a total of 145 hooks. But one of them is not a blind eye hook. I do not know much about sizing hooks so I used the Jann's Netcraft hook sizing chart as a reference and did the best I could to determine the approximate size. Some of the hooks did not quite fit the shapes on the chart so I made my best guess as to their size. Shown below are the quantities of each size: Quantity Size 6 3/0 40 2/0 26 1/0 37 1 25 2 8 4 2 6 These items were purchased years ago at an antique shop in Washington. The paper envelopes that were with the lot indicate that the hooks were probably acquired at a sporting goods store in New York in the 1890's. ... moreSome hooks have a black finish and some have a bronze finish. I can't tell for sure whether any of the hooks have been used but some of them do have tarnish. Overall. The majority of the items are very nice. Also included in this lot are 43 metal tippet rings that are probably of the same vintage(see photos) They are shown next to a coin for size comparison. The hook box and two envelopes that were found with the lot will be included. As well. Condition These approximately 100-year old items are VG to Excellent condition. Some may have been used. It has two compartments.a top one normally reserved for tippets and a second with two felt pads to hold the leader and fly and absorb any moisture. Coiled leaders. With or without a wet fly attached were carried in these. This one has a logo as you can see in the last photo but we haven't identified it.much as we would like it to be a Hardy logo. It is made of aluminum and is about 4 1/4 inches(10.8 cm) square. This has been used but is in good condition. Vintage K.P. Morritt's Intrepid 3 1/2" Fly Reel w/leader. Tippet& original case Up for auction is a vintage K.P. Morritt's Intrepid 3 1/2" Fly Reel with leader. Tippet and the original red hard plastic case. Made in England, the reel is scratched in places but is fully functional. I do not know the weight rating of the tippet or how long it is, but the sticker for the leader is still attached to the reel. So the leader is a Cortland 444 WF 7 F/S. I have done my best to photograph all the conditions I see that I think might be an issue as to value. A really lovely antique white lace collar that is large in size. The design is stunning incorporating floral motifs. Was perhaps worn like a tippet across the shoulders with the two ends hanging as in pic 1. It is in nice antique condition with some minor fraying along the edges and a few brown age spots.
