Vintage Heddon Pal #8409 Mark III 9' 2pc Fly Rod with Tube and Sock - Nice
This is a early 1960's Heddon Pal#8409 Mark III 9' 2pc fiberglass flyrod. With the early brown fiberglass blank. It is Fas-Tip action and line rating B-GBG GAF, which probably means 8-9wt using today's ratings. The cork grip is in great shape and has a walnut insert at the front by winding check. The real seat is classic early 1960's spring loaded Heddon style, with a gold finish. Winding check, hook keeper and all guides, tip top, and ferrules are the same gold finish. Windings are gold silk base with burgandy details. Heddon label between the grip and stripping guide is intact. Guides are a interesting double wound variation on the snake guide making the rod quite interesting. The comes with the original burgundy cardboard tube(no cap) and a period correct rod sock. I own a Heddon Pal Mark IV with the same blank and reel ... moreseat. And it is quite powerful and suited for anything from trout to steelhead to bass, northerns, and muskies. I use mine for pike of all kinds, and it will throw the big flys and streamers a mile. This rod is fairly unique and would make a great addition to a fiberglass collection. But could also be fished, like it was new. I ship all my rods USPS Priority Mail. Upon receipt of payment on Paypal. Up for sale is a lightly used Minn Kota SP55 Riptide motor with the Cruise control and new foot pedal. This is on a 2006 model year boat I just bought. The main engine only has 120 hrs. on it and the boat and motor look almost new. This is a fully functional trolling motor and works just as it should. I have a new foot pedal that came with it(it was still in the box) and has never been used. the remote control can be worn around your neck or attach it to a fishing pole butt for motor control anywhere on the boat. the remote will start/ stop, turn left/ right, and has 10 power settings.

28 Foot BHM Commercial Crab Lobster Fishing Downeast Boat Caterpillar Cat Diesel
1987 BHM 28 foot Lobster Charter Boat This is a 1987 Bhm 28. It is a very well sought after downeast sport fisherman. Many of these boats are used as commercial boats due to their durability. Stable hull design and open deck space. The motor is. 3116 Turbo Caterpillar diesel 300 horsepower motor. It was rebuilt in 2009 after working as a 6 pack charter boat. I do not have the receipt for the rebuild. I am told the motor is a 2004 but can't find the series number. I am going by a third party who worked on the boat a few years ago. The motor runs excellent. The RPM gauge does not work but appears to be an easy fix due to the accessibility of wires. There is a small 22 inch long rubber exhaust pipe that also has a small drip to it. It's just enough to drive you nuts. Once again it appears to be a simple fix. This started to leak when ... morewe replaced the transmission because we had to remove the exhaust to take out the old transmission and put in the new one. All work was done by an authorized caterpillar mechanic. The transmission was replaced August 2014. It is a 502 twin disc 1.5:1 ratio attached to a 1.5 inch shaft. The propellor is. 19x21 wheel that was recently cleaned up and put back on. The steering is hydraulic with an air assist. Every couple weeks I gave to add about 4 pounds of air. No big deal. The boat was completely painted a year ago. The hull paint is pretty good. The topside paint was"rolled then tipped" by someone who could have done a better job but it cleans up nice enough for me. I recently ground the paint off of the deck and repainted it with a two part nonskid epoxy paint. Looks good. In the boat is a $3000 hydraulic system that ran a gill net wheel for one year. The clutch and pump are clean and you can still see the stickers on the equipment as it's about a year old. You can easily run a pot hauler etc by adding the head along with a control valve. Minn Kota Turbo Pro 24 Volt Trolling Motor...70 LBS of Thrust! Foot Control.
Just had this motor check out by an authorized Minn Kota Service tech. Everything checks out fine and is ready to mount on your boat. I replaced a couple of bolts but I do not have the mounting bolts. The reason I'm selling? This motor is way too powerful for my needs. My boat is only 16 ft and I don't fish in high current. I did buy it used but it works great. It has infinite speeds and a 30 inch composite shaft. I was told that this was the first"digital" motor for Minn Kota but I cannot verify it.The weedless prop is in perfect condition. The pedal is spacious and the cable works fine. The mount( in picture) has four shock absorbing springs. Because of the weight. I will not ship it. If you want to see it run, bring a battery and connecting cable to hook to my battery. Being 24 volts, you will need two batteries.

Hello and welcome to the auction and thank you for viewing.This is for an unread* book Baits and Groundbaits by the respected coarse fishing writer Edward Ensom who was known as Faddist.The book is all about the various different types of baits including groundbait.It is the second and revised edition and was published in 1952 by Gilbertson& Page Limited.There are 80 pages and original light blue card covers.The book is mostly text with two small illustrations.One to the cover and another which is the same as the one to the second page.There is also an illustrated advertisement for groundbait to the inside of the back cover.At the rear there is a short list of record rod caught coarse fish which includes a 31lb. 4oz. carp taken by Mr.R.D.Richards from Bernithan Pool,Bernithan Court,Llangavon on honey paste in October 1951,a chub of 8lb. ... more8oz. taken by a Mr.D.Deeks from the Sussex Rother at Fittleworth in July 1951 whilst spinning,an Irish pike of 53lbs from Lough Conn on a 21/5 silver spoon and a perch of just over 6lbs. taken on the Stour at Bures.There are also various contributions from other anglers and writers including Captain L.A.Parker who was well known for his Hampshire Avon roach catches,a short contribution by A.Edward Hobbs(author of Trout of the Thames)and a short essay by'the late' Doctor Lewis Smith who was'Silver Doctor' and a former president of"The Red Spinners" I know that the publication is unread as I bought a batch of these many years ago(I estimate in around 1980) from I believe a wholesaler. for auction is a 1982 Blue Fin Aluminium boat with a 70 HP Johnson outboard motor with power tilt and trim plus a johnson 7.5 hp kicker or trolling motor. Both motors have a single 6 gal gas tank one plastic and on metal. Controls for both motors are at the helm and has hook-up for steering on the kicker motor. Also it has a canvas top that overs the drivers seat. Covers half of boat. It also has a Calkins Trailer underneath it, all rollers and comes with a spare. There are 5 or 6 life jackets, a bottom line depth/fishfinder, anchor, vhp radio with antenna. The interior of the boat is ok but some of the vinyl and the seats could use some TLC.
