Here is a great ORVIS fly fishing real Model"Green Mountain I" that's a Roman numeral one) and also marked"7 WT. On the reel it is marked"Made In USA" Orvis technical people told me this reel was manufactured in 1992 and is considered a vintage reel. New looking. It seems not to have any use, I see no wear marks or chipped paint on surface. It does have yellow line loaded in it and a loop at the feed end of this line as can be seen in the images. The reel is approx. 3-1/2" diameter. The box that comes with it is the original box, though the original packing material is missing. Notice the Orvis numbers on the box lid and also again on the bottom of the box. Inside also is a pamphlet put out by Orvis entitled"Getting Started in Fly Fishing" ORVIS GREEN MOUNTAIN SERIES" which is a 30 pages counting ... morefront& back cover. This Ross. Gunnison 2 Reel, was first introduced in 1987, and has been the workhorse of fly reels. I would compare it to the Calcutta, of bait casting reels in respest of bang for your buck! I own 2. This one was bought, with the Loomis fly rod, that is for sale, for my wife. She never took to fly fishing. This reel has been used a handful of times over the years. Mine has seen lots of action. The specs on the reel are as follow: Spool width.80" Spool diameter: 3.25" weight: 4.8 OZ It comes spooled 30 yards of Cortland 444SL WF 6 Floating Line, and backed with 120 yards of quality backing. It comes with the original box, NO PAPERS. The reel sells for close to $200 new, and the line and backing, another $40 plus and this one is just like it. I have always kept the drag off, just serviced it. enjoy, for a low starting bid.

Up for auction is this gently used. Orvis Battenkill Bar Stock II fly reel in the titanium finish. The BBS II is a 2.75 in. diameter, standard arbor reel, weighing in at 3 5/8 oz. It is machined for aircraft grade, bar-stock aluminum, with an offset-gear Rulon disc drag. Orvis puts the recommended line sizes for the reel in the 3 to 5 wt. range. The listed capacity is 100 yds. of 20 lb. dacron with a WF4F line, and 75 yds. with a WF5F. The reel is in very nice shape. There are finish rubs on the reel foot from being on a rod. The frame and spool have no scratches. The reel has some backing and a WF-5-F fly line. Which, I believe to be a Orvis line. It's an older model line, but still looks decent to me.
