About a year old but in really great shape. I can't see any wear on it. This is weight forward. 450 grain sinking line for 10-13 wt rods. Red running line with grey sinking head. 100' total length. Line has plain ends with no loops. The only time I have ever cut on this line is when I cut 1/4" off to remove my nail knot, other than that it is untouched.

For sale is a Rio Gold Fly Line that is brand new and has never been used. The only reason that I did not list it as new is that we sold it to a customer and they returned it the next day and it was not fished. There has been 10' approximately cut off the back end to make it fit on the reel for a customer. But that will not have any effect on the performance of the line. The back loop was obviously cut off but the front loop remains for ease of attaching the leader to the line. Rio's Gold lines are some of the most popular lines in fly fishing and they are an all around great performer and they are designed to do everything from a#2 streamer to a delicate presentation of a size#20 dry fly. This is an essentially new fly line; I have listed it as used because I spooled it on a Galvan reel; subsequently. It has resided in my reel drawer unused(never cast, never fished) For those of you who may be unaware, the triangle taper line was designed by Lee Wulff; it has a long continuous taper on the front of the line that performs wonderfully with slow to medium-fast action rods. It is a joy to roll cast and mend. I use these lines with assorted Winston rods and fiberglass rods. This line is orange in color, weight forward, and has a welded loop on the leader end to facilitate leader attachment. I have too many duplicate lines. Hence the sale. Orvis WF 8 F Steelhead/Salmon Fly Line with 30' of Sink Tip material
Up for auction is an Orvis Steelhead Taper floating eight weight fly line. It comes with 30' of Type 3 sink tip material that you can cut down to fit your needs. The line is yellow and in excellent condition. The line is also a longer belly type of line. I bought it for my 6/7 weight switch rod. But it is a little heavier than I like. The line is 105' overall length. It would work good on a regular eight weight rod, but I think it would also work well on a 7/8 weight switch or short spey rod(in the 12' range) It was overloading my rod which is a 6/7 weight, but prefers a true 6 weight.
