It is machined for aircraft grade, bar-stock aluminum, with an offset-gear Rulon disc drag. Orvis puts the recommended line sizes for the reel in the 3 to 5 wt. range. The listed capacity is 100 yds. of 20 lb. dacron with a WF3F line, and 75 yds. with a WF4F. The reel is in very nice shape. There are finish rubs on the reel foot from being on a rod. The frame and spool have no scratches. Except for a"4" the previous owner etched onto the interior side of the spool. The reel has some backing and a WF-4-F fly line, which, from the partial sticker and sunrise color, I believe to be a Scientific Anglers Ultra 4 line. It's an older model line, but still looks decent to me. The reel is set up for left hand retrieve, and is reversible to right hand wind. With the reel comes a zippered Orvis pouch in excellent shape. 1992 ORVIS GREEN MOUNTAIN I Fly Fishing Reel 7 WT. Original Box w/ Yellow Line
Here is a great ORVIS fly fishing real Model"Green Mountain I" that's a Roman numeral one) and also marked"7 WT. On the reel it is marked"Made In USA" Orvis technical people told me this reel was manufactured in 1992 and is considered a vintage reel. New looking. It seems not to have any use, I see no wear marks or chipped paint on surface. It does have yellow line loaded in it and a loop at the feed end of this line as can be seen in the images. The reel is approx. 3-1/2" diameter. The box that comes with it is the original box, though the original packing material is missing. Notice the Orvis numbers on the box lid and also again on the bottom of the box. Inside also is a pamphlet put out by Orvis entitled"Getting Started in Fly Fishing" ORVIS GREEN MOUNTAIN SERIES" which is a 30 pages counting ... morefront& back cover. Up for auction is this gently used. Orvis Battenkill Bar Stock II fly reel in the titanium finish. The BBS II is a 2.75 in. diameter, standard arbor reel, weighing in at 3 5/8 oz. It is machined for aircraft grade, bar-stock aluminum, with an offset-gear Rulon disc drag. Orvis puts the recommended line sizes for the reel in the 3 to 5 wt. range. The listed capacity is 100 yds. of 20 lb. dacron with a WF4F line, and 75 yds. with a WF5F. The reel is in very nice shape. There are finish rubs on the reel foot from being on a rod. The frame and spool have no scratches. The reel has some backing and a WF-5-F fly line. Which, I believe to be a Orvis line. It's an older model line, but still looks decent to me. WF2I Clear Intermediate Fly Line Orvis Generation 3 Wonderline
This may be the only clear intermediate 2 wt. line available now; Orvis doesn't offer it any longer and I think they were the last who did in this weight. This line may be used with excellent results on 0 wt. to 3 wt. fly rods. I've used the line three times. It is a GREAT line. It casts beautifully and shoots well on my both my 1 wt. and 3 wt. rods. The sink rate is spec'd at 1- 1.5 ips and I'd guess it's closer to 1 ips. It's practically a hover line. Perfect shape. Like new, perfection loop on head with almost new leader included, delivered on the original Orvis line spool.

Orvis WF 8 F Steelhead/Salmon Fly Line with 30' of Sink Tip material
Up for auction is an Orvis Steelhead Taper floating eight weight fly line. It comes with 30' of Type 3 sink tip material that you can cut down to fit your needs. The line is yellow and in excellent condition. The line is also a longer belly type of line. I bought it for my 6/7 weight switch rod. But it is a little heavier than I like. The line is 105' overall length. It would work good on a regular eight weight rod, but I think it would also work well on a 7/8 weight switch or short spey rod(in the 12' range) It was overloading my rod which is a 6/7 weight, but prefers a true 6 weight.
