This model is rather ingenious and versatile. It measures just under 11" x 5" x 2 1/2" This example is in good shape though I didn't attempt to clean it one bit. I've had bad luck trying to clean aluminum so I figured I'd leave it to the new owner rather than risk discoloring another super cool antique. Almost everything I sell is vintage. And even if it's less than 20 years old it was harvested from estate or garage sales. Thrift stores, auctions or flea markets. Now that being said I do my best to fully describe any obvious flaws. I always add quality pictures. Please reference pics to make your own assessment of cosmetic condition. I'm just a guy with an eye for things too good for the landfill that need a good home. This listing is for an UMCO 175-A tackle box. Made in the USA! It has 3 tiers and a total of 29 plastic compartments. Plus the main compartment underneath. It has an aluminum body, hinges and clasp. The handle and tray liners are plastic. The hinges, handle, and clasp are all in good working order and firmly attached. The trays do not have any cracks or holes. There is some stuck-on debris in a couple of the plastic compartments and inside the main compartment. The body has some discoloration and there is a perforation in the lid that is about the size of a standard staple, and a smaller one above it. Some were punched to allow air bubbles to flow through. Old Thompson fish skinner in the bottom. The green& yellow are not painted in if I'm seeing it right but original to the box. There is a nice Bass PRO REEL TOTE, an a Shakespeare Wondercast No. 1771 that needs some attention, but I am guessing will work fine for someone who knows how to mess with them. The box itself is a dent-n-ding special, but it is kind of a neat older ... moretackle box. It measures 16" long, about 9.5" high, and 9" wide. It is ugly, but very functional with a tight handle and good front locking mechanism. It also has cool foldout trays(as you can see) is lightweight aluminum, and does not have any holes, as metal boxes sometimes corrode. This one is fine except for the dents and dings. Search This is a vintage tackle box. The interior is aluminum and has ten compartments 2 x 2 x 6 3/4 inches. Im assuming they are for large lures. The exterior is green canvas with six flat compartments in the front. The unit has a canvas cover and metal latch as shown. Has a green shoulder strap and also has belt loops on the back of the unit. Not sure where it was made. Measures 10 x 4 1/2 x 7 inches approx. Very light. Weighs about 1 1/2 pounds. Please ask questions-if you have any-before you bid. It measures 12-1/2" long x 6-1/2" wide x 6" tall. Excluding the handle. The three fold-out trays have plastic inserts. A few of the insert have cracks but still serve the purpose of keeping contents separated. The box has a few small dents and dings. Nothing major. The box has been cleaned, but could use additional cleaning inside and out, if desired. The handle and copper-colored hinges are in good condition. The latch is a little loose and can come open. This might be remedied by tightening or replacing the rivets that hold the latch to the side of the box. The latch could also be secured by drilling a small hole in the top side of the latch and inserting ... morea cotter pin or nail. You can also simply tie a piece of cord or even a large rubber band around the box to hold the lid shut in case the latch comes open. Nice collectible!
