There are not many repair parts left in it but some. You also receive a bottle of vintage Pflueger Speede reel oil#379. It is actually completely full. There is also a small tube of Pflueger Run Free gear grease#2120 I have added to the case. Quite a bit left but the tube does have a cut in it so grease can squirt out the cut if tube is squeezed. The reel itself is in beautiful condition: level wind. Anti-backlash, satin chrome finish in its original box. The reel works fine, and has a strong clicker. Accompanying it is its owner's guide and a new E-Z-GRIP Comfo Ring no. 430 and papers as well as a new set of handle covers no. 410 in their own box. Needless to say, time has dried out the original rubber and also the newer set of cover and handles, but it's nice to have a second set and the box to complement the reel. The handle cover box is in pretty nice and colorful condition. The fishing reel box is solid but is missing a strip on the tip where someone must have put some tape.

Up for auction is a 1964 Pflueger Supreme Free Spool Bait Casting Reel. This is the anniversary edition with the leaping bass emblem. It is#1576 and comes with everything you see in the first picture. You get the reel. Plastic case, 2 Pflueger Little Giant tools, extra handle(unused) box flap with description and price tag, directions for the Cub handle drag and the original receipt dated 9-3-64 from Klein's Sporting goods. The Plueger reel is in excellent condition and looks like it had little use. The plastic case is excellent with light staining on the interior white and the red felt on the bottom as all but completely come off. The 2 tools have light rust. The extra handle again is unused with the rubber covers still on. The instructions are clean in excellent condition with an 1/8" tear on one of the folds. This is a used Pflueger Supreme. Right handed, high speed baitcast reel; Model SUPREME ELP. Mechanically its in perfect condition; it has very slight boat rash as can be seen in one of the photos. As you know, the Supreme Model is the top of the line reel that Pflueger sells. This is a precision reel that featured 11 stainless steel shielded bearings, gear ratio of 6.3:1, Titanian line guide, dual braking system(mechanical and centrifigal) multi-disk drag system with audible star nut adjustment and a forged aluminum handle, with soft touch bearing knobs. This is a really nice reel that still has a lot of years of serious fishing left in it, as mecahnically, it is perfect. I have not had one problem with the reel since I bought it! Posted with

Nice example of this reel. Needs a little cleaning. But runs fine. Overall very nice. Freespool, drag, baitclicker and anti reverse all seem to work fine. Not likely it was fished much. Also includes leather case(not sure if original to reel) manual, wrench, and a set of"EZ Grips" still perfectly soft) A great addition to your collection, or take it fishing. Vintage Pflueger Supreme 1576 baitcast reel. Box is dated 2/67(Feb. 1967) This was referred to as the Anniversary Supreme reel. The reel is built like a Swiss watch. No pun intended. Shakespeare bought out Pflueger in the 70's and that was Shakespeare's motto for years. The reel features phosphor bronze gears and bearings. Machined aluminum spool, cast alloy aluminum side plates and is powder coated to protect from corrosive saltwater, and chrome over brass frame. The free spool is a button located in the center of the double nob fighting crank and is flanked by the star drag which is effective enough to tame Tarpon or Muskeegalong. Vintage:PFLUEGER - SUPREME 1573 Bait asting Reel Early Model from 1936
Up for Auction is a Vintage PFLUEGER SUPREME No. 1573(1936) Bait Casting Reel with Cork Spool Spacer. Pflueger manufactured the first Supreme No.1573 in 1916 and continued building this basic model with minor modifications over the years until the early 1960’s when the model number changed to 1575. Over this period. By my count there were about 20 variations of this basic style reel. The version being offered here is what I believe to be the 10 t h version and was manufactured in 1936. The face plate has‘ PFLUEGER SUPREME’ MADE IN THE USA’ stamped rather than cast which was the case with later versions. Also stamped on the foot of the reel are the words PATENTED along with PATENTS PENDING and 9 patent numbers which are clearly shown in the photos. The 10 patent numbers tell us the year(1936) that this version was first made. Mechanically ... morethe reel is in very good condition. There are NO missing screws. Both end caps are present and the foot of the reel has not been altered in any way. The crank and spool turn freely as well as the handles on the crank. The clicker is strong and load and the mechanism which turns the clicker on and off works smoothly. In terms of appearance. I have not cleaned this reel up since I first came by it and have displaced it a shown in the photos. The reel has the typical dirt and grime one would expect from a reel over 75 + years old and finish on the reel itself. Looks good. The foot and lower bars do show some loss of plating where the brass is showing through. This reel will make a very nice addition to any collection of Pflueger Supreme reels. If you are looking for some of the other versions of the Supreme reel. You might find what you are looking for in one of my other auctions. As there are NO returns in this auction.
