Hello, I am listing my Shimano Calais CL200 right handed baitcasting reel. I used this rod a lot for one season and then partially used for 3 other seasons. The reason being is that I buy a new reel every year so last years model turns into the backup reel usually with a different bait. If you tournament fish then you know exactly what I am talking about. You'll have 5 rods all spooled up with something different on each one. Last year I bought the newest Team Diawa and I love it. This is probably going to be the first year that I do not purchase a new one. I sold my Ranger two years ago and realized now that when I go fishing I only bring one setup which currently cost me close to a grand. I did just purchase the newest G Loomis NRX which cost me $600.00 and I have last years Team Diawa on that rod. I am dying to try it out however I ... morelive in New Hampshire so today alone was 1degree. Ya. No.that wasnt a misprint. Today was one degree outside! It stinks looking at this 7'3" G Loomis rod which claims to be the best fresh water fishing rod in the world knowing I wont be able to try it out until April at best. Anyway. About my reel. I still have the box it came in and I did send it out to be serviced every year except this past one because I usually send them out in February to get totally cleaned and oiled and basically fully serviced. The reel has no issues and almose looks brand new. I am very anal about my equipment. I do not let them hit the ground, or rest them on the pavement, etc. If you look at the pictures you can see that it is well taken care of. I am also posting a TEAM DIAWA 103H tonight. This is a Shimano Calais cl200. Top of the line in fishing reels. It has a brand new spool of 12lb tatu line. Made by seaguar. I have all my reels greased and new drags pads installed every year before the next bass tournament series starts. Witch was done at the end of january. the reel has not been used since last maintenance. This reel was used for jig fishing and was absolutely awesome, lots of big fish caught with this reel. This auction is for one Shimano CALAIS CL200 MG-5 11 bearing low-profile right handed bait-casting reel. This is Shimano's most expensive. Most advanced bait-casting reel and is outrageously expensive if buying new! The reel has alway been used in freshwater(river) My brother bought this reel new and used it for a couple of years and then passed it on to me. I prefer round bait-casters myself and after trying to get used to it last summer. I gave up and put it away in my closet. With more reels than rods, I'm thinning the herd. But other than that it is in good condtion, has only slight scratches. The guy I got it off of said it had been put up in his closet for about a year. Reel was just cleaned and is now very smooth, before it felt like there was wear in the gears but since having it cleaned you cannot feel that anymore. This is a mint condition Shimano Calais 200ASV. It belonged to a sponsored bass fisherman and has only been used a handful of times in freshwater and was rinsed and dried immediately afterwards. The only mark on the reel is a tiny scratch on the underside that can be seen in the last photo. There are no other blemishes on the reel. Comes as seen. With paperwork and wrench. Freespool is fantastic and drags are strong. I can spool with new 6-17lb mono free of charge. Just specify at checkout.
