PFLUEGER PELICAN Spinning Reel w/ Box Oil Grease Wrench Vintage Reel 1950's LOOK
Here's a PFLUEGER PELICAN Spinning Reel from the 1950's that in great working condition! The reel has a die cast aluminum frame and a machined aluminum spool. It features a drag setting on the rear of the reel. Which remains set when changing the spool. It's light-weight, has a stainless steel shaft, anti-reverse, a retrieve rate of nearly 20" per crank and the bail flips closed within 1/6th of a turn. The spool holds 125 yd's. of 8 lb. mono w/o backing. The reel was introduced in June of 1954 and sold for $22.95. Also included is it's original box. A bottle of oil, a tube of grease and it's wrench. The reel appears to have been used very little and the box has a torn spot and shows typical wear. Review all the photo's for the best details. Vintage antique Pflueger trade mark Taxie made in USA fishing reel. This is in good shape. Has a very small bend on one edge but is hard to notice. It measures 5” wide by 1.5” deep. In order to keep its antique look and value I did not and will not clean this and the original copper wire line will not be removed. What you see is what you get! Although if wanted I am sure you can make it shine! I thinkit is a fly fishing reel but looks to have been used on a wire trolling fishing rod? Thanks and happy fishing!

Cosmetically the reel appears to have seen little to no use. The reel has a nice metalic silver finish with gold accents. The reel presents very well but has a few minor marks. Despite this.
