Classic Amico Combo Bamboo Fly 3/1 & Casting Rod 2/1 In Wooden Case With Flies
This Japanese combination bamboo rod started life as Amico's No.3330 3 way fishing outfit. The spinning rod function has disappeared. Leaving the 5 foot casting rod and the 3-piece 8 foot fly rod. The rod shafts and the finish are in very good condition. The cork grip needs a but cap to keep the sliding rings in place. The female ferrule on the butt section needs to be reset since the glue has dried out. There are three nymph flies included in the box. The wooden case is in very good condition, measures 34" by 3" by 1 3/4"

Granger Victory Bamboo Fly Rod 9'. 5/6 wt. Pleasure to cast small/large flies.
This is one of my very favorite bamboo fly fishing rods for mid-size streams and definitely larger ones both in the North East and the Rockies. It's travelled with me to Maine. New Hampshire, New York, home waters in northern Vermont and countless Wyoming, Montana and Idaho streams. I've had a blast swinging soft hackles and streamers for fall runners in Yellowstone National Park on the Madison one day and used it on very large and picky trout on the flats of Henry's Fork the next. T hen on big selective trout in the lower Madison riffles. The only changes I'd make would be to lengthen the leader, tie on a smaller tippet and fish#16 to#22 flies for the hatches. This rod needs a home where it will continue to be fished. The rod is three sections. It has one tip. All sections are the same length and straight. It is 9' long ... moreand casts a 5/6 wt. line wonderfully. The action is mostly in the top-middle of the second section. Therefore. I would call it a fast/moderate. The rod is strong. It is not whimpy. Yet, it is super sensitive when dead-drifting nymphs upstream or swinging soft-hackles, speys, dees or streamers. It is equally responsive to rising and sipping fish when dry fly fishing. It roll casts and can single spey cast very well. I've used smaller Hardy Perfects, Uniquas, Marquis, Orvis CFO III/IV and Ross Gunnison G2 reels on this rod. They all felt good and worked well. The reel seat is stamped Goodwin Granger Company Denver and also reflects the patent for their threaded up-locking design. So. The rod was made between 1934 to 1941, the years when this patent seat was used. The cork handle is clean and sound, not rough and dry. Ferrules, guides and tip-tops are all tight. Windings are Black& Orange Jasper with Black tipping. The case is not the original but is much better as it's a stout aluminum with brass fittings. I've cleaned the finish, but at some time, you might want a complete revarnishing. If so, I provide various refinishing and restoration services during the win

Thomas& Thomas 5WT 2 PC Fly Rod& Reel This is an older ES 865(Emerger Series) Graphite Rod. This series was discontinued by T&T back in 1999. This was rod. Reel and flies were given to me buy the owner to sell and donate the proceeds to Ducks Unlimited. In my opinion it looks like this rod was never used as the reel mounting area shows no marks at all. The cork handle is not hard as shows no discoloration. This rod was hand letter with silver paint after it was built in Turners Falls, MA. Some areas of the paint are gone, but you can still read all the numbers. There is another number on both halves of the rod, 74-25. The reel is RimFly by Cortland. I would say it has been used. As it shows some areas of slight wear. It has line and backing that I would guess is old. The fly set is from Orivs and will be included in the sale. ... moreThe only thing that shows wear is the hard rod case. It looks like it has been moved form closet to closet over the years. Up for auction a vintage quality Kiraku Grampus bamboo trout casting fishing rod- made in Tokyo. Japan. In good condition- rod comes in three sections. Few surface scuff marks but works well. Rod stored in wooden box- end wooden section missing- otherwise OK shape. Please see pictures for more details. Also included are 23 x vintage flies and spare line- as well as 3 x extra rod tip/top sections. Fit seems tight- so assume spares for other Grampus rods. All in nice condition.
