a nice old 1947 Vintage Mitchell 300 half bail 3rd version reel the serial number is 5 on the reel foot it has a spare spool cased this reel is in really nice condition it does show signs of wear some paint rubs and loss to the lower case spool reel foot and to the spare spool case the reel operates nicely the bail opens and closers with ease and the anti reverse and the spool drag are all fine the paint and chromed parts still shines nicely and are free from corrosion these old 3rd version reels make a good addition to a reel collection postage cost does not include extra cover or signature on delivery. a nice old 5th version Garcia Mitchell reel in its box 1950.S Made in France serial number 7010645 it comes with a cased spare spool and all of the book and papers cards etc the reel does show signs of wear some marks and scratches and paint loss to the rotor cup some scratches and fine paint loss to the lower case and a few small rubs and paint loss to the reel foot the spool case lid has 2 small melt marks on the lid edge. I think this is mainly due to poor handling and being moved around some. The box reel insert has some tears and a few old oil stains but is still serviceable, the box lid has some colour loss marks and rubs as seen in all the pictures. The reel operates very nicely and has had light use if at all the bail opens and closes with ease the anti reverse and spool drag work well the paint and chromed parts shine nicely and ... moreare free from any corrosion.

Vintage Allcock & Co Redditch Felton Crosswind Senior fixed spool reel
This bears the patent number 437 502 which was for the first model patent on 2nd May 1935 although the reel did not start production until 1937. This is a pre war model. The reel works smoothly. A common complaint is that it is a little noisy by modern standards. It is made of light alloy with an anti corrosive bronze finish, slipping clutch. I believe that the half bail arm is manual, it certainly is not automatic on this model.

This is an olympic spinning reel olympic no 2400 Gear ration 3.35:1 line capacity 200 yds lb test mono weight 11.5 oz recommended for junior all round fishing strong die cast body. I no nothing about fishing. I dont know if this reel is working. The line inside moves freely so as if you were casting out it would wind out as it should. But trying to wind the handle around as if to reel in. It only moves half way around then stops. It does have a lock on so when you move this it wont wind at all but if that is off it is only moving half way around. I dont know if that makes any sence. It might be broken I dont no. This fishing reel comes with the instructions which shows you how to take it apart and put it back together. It has gone a bit rust and the paint has started to bubble. Gearratio is 5.7:1, 4 bearings, slow oscillation, Dyna-balance, rollerbearing, oversized power roller, Fightin’drag and so on. You won't see them often in any condition. Showing some normal usagemarks. Perfect reels for the match. They’re only fished on a few holidays(in the south of France on the rivers l’Isle and Dordogne. On Shimano Bolognese rods, together with my son) They’re always stored inside the house. They come from my private collection. Linecapacity of the spools are: 25/00-260m. 30/00-180m, 35/00-130m or 8Lbs-240yds, 10Lbs-200yds, 12Lb-160yds. The weight of the reels is 420 grams each. So nice lightweight reels!
