I have no idea on how to test them and 2 have green salt stains. The 2 small rods and reels are antique and are ocean city 1591 rod/reel but i would say in poor condition. This auction is for the rod on the LEFT in the picture which is about 77 inches long with 4 guides and a roller tip. Both rods were wrapped by the same local guy about 15 years ago to look like a Penn Senator rod. Please note this is NOT a Penn Senator. It just looks like one. This rod does have a gimble on the end of the wooden butt. It does show a little bit of wear and light corrosion on the guides, but no major damage. It appears as though the epoxy has some air bubbles in it that never escaped when it was finished, this is only a cosmetic flaw and does not affect the function of the rod. This is a sweet old rod. Has all its original ceramic eyelets, the first eyelet is on a spring hinge so it can fold down flat against the rod for when you are traveling, I have never seen one like this befor and am surprised they are not more common. rod is 8ft long only real defect is that the rod where two peaces come together has a few small splits because the binding has come away from the end. Would be easy to rebind or have a sleeve put over. all in all grate rod for a collector or to be used for what it is made for. pick up from nambour welcome. freight is through grayhound and is pick up from their nearest depo.
