Custom Lamiglas Surf/Jetty Spinning Fishing Rod 2 Pc - NICE! OVER 11 FEET LONG!
You're bidding on a Nice 2 Piece Custom made Lamiglas Surf Spinning Rod in great shape for mechanics and appearance. Judging from the guides and reel seat and handle. It doesn’t look like it has ever been used in salt water or if it has, you can’t tell it. It was custom made from a prominent rod builder in Santa Cruz, CA and has seven excellent guides and wraps. The finish is great with just a little bit of white specking on the butt section(you will hardly notice) and, as you can see, the original owner did not wish to keep his name on the rod, so the finish has been removed to remove his name(see pictures) This is only cosmetic of course and does not affect the rod in any way. The rod measures 11 feet and 3 inches long when assembled and is ready to catch the big ones. I do not know the line rating, but I would describe the rod as medium ... moreto medium heavy action. Lamiglas Surf & Jetty XS 11 MS 11' Fishing Rod
The rod is in overall very good condition. I have tried to highlight the cosmetic scratches and scuffs from it's normal use and most of those are from airline travel. The rod will be packed securely and shipped in a Flambeau Bazuka II Rod case. The case has a crushed end courtesy of the baggage handling gorillas at Frontier. This does not affect the integrity of the case however. The case is 74" and non-telescoping. Altogether this would be around $360.00 new so I am starting the auction at $100.00. Not sure on shipping but I will ship at the least cost possible so I'll say $30. If it's less I will refund you via Paypal. If it's more then you get an even better deal.

Up for auction a rare and much sought after Lamiglass S-Glass SSB1362F fiberglass surf fishing rod. Rod is the full 11'3" original factory length. Has not bee cut down. Wrapped for spinning reels with no fixed reel seat. Currently has a Fuji FS-7SB reel seat taped on. Seat can be moved depending on weight of the reel and user preference. Wire guides show some green corrosion on the feet. There are small scuffs and scratches throughout but nothing that affects the integrity of the rod. Used Lamiglas fiberglass custom built fishing rod. LGC-SB1363M2-Tan 11' 4" 2PC, tip 12.0, butt 1.025, extra fast action, medium power, Not sure what the line wt or lure wt is. I throw 6 oz and use 17lb line with this rod. The rod has been cut down to 11' 2" so one inch off butt and top half, The rod has been rebuilt to like new condition, it has all new Fuji SIC gun smoke titanium coated cast guides 9 total, guides measure#30, 25, 20, 3- 16, and 3-12, it has a matching tip top#12-11, it has a new 7 1/2" butt wrap metallic white with metallic lime green and nylon black double diamond pattern, shark decal, it has new 8" cork wrap fore grip, rear cork is in good condition and didn't need replacing, new butt cap, Fuji#24 reel seat silver hood was also not replaced, the rod halves measure butt 5' 8 3/8" ... moreand the top 5' 9 1/4" the rear cork handle measures 18 1/2" from butt to the bottom of the reel seat, there are no marks to indicate that this is a Lamiglas. I am the builder and purchased this blank new and have proof. There are no scuff marks or scratches on the blank. It does show some signs of use at the ferrule. This is from my personal collection. This Lamiglas Tri-Flex Graphite Surf spinning rod is in good condition. It shows sign of use but has many. Many more battles to go. As shown in the pictures, there's some cracking of epoxy around the foots guides, some scratches here and there, 3 bands left by medical tape that was wrapped around the rod. Even with the cosmetic blemishes, this is a nice rod that is ready to hit the surf. General info: Lamiglas Tri-Flex rods use proprietary tri-wall construction technology with lightweight graphite base.
