Vintage Aluminum Fishing Rod Pole, case,Simplicity Portland 12 Ore reel
This is a vintage all aluminum rod. Reel and case that I got at an auction. The pole fits inside the round case. The reel is attached to the case and the rod attaches to it also, making the pole over 8 feet tall. There is no cap for the round case(if I find it later I will add it to the auction) Right above the reel is part of a sticker that looks like it says"Pole Rod Scot Tex Corp. Dallas Texas Sole Distributor" The reel says"Simplicity Portland 12 Ore" around the edge. I'm not really sure how the reel works but it seems like it is stripped(when you turn the handle it doesn't wind in the string) I'm not sure if any pieces are missing. The rod shows some wear but it was manufactured to be incredibly sturdy. It looks like you could use it and it would be fine) The reel and case, with the other pieces inside ... moreit is just over 3 feet long. When you attach the other pieces, they go right near the reel, leaving a long 3 foot handle and 5 foot pole. I don't have much more information about this so email with any questions. The rod is ready to fish and after you take it for a spin and you do not agree with my assessment send it back. You are bidding on a Sage Xi2 1290-4 fly rod. The rod is a 9 foot 12 weight. Fly rod was owned by one of our customers who wanted a new rod. The rod is in used condition from tip top to fighting butt. The blank has some minor marks on the ferrules. From assembly, on it but none that will effect the service of this rod. The rod does have the foregrip. The blank does have some surface marks, none serious. The anodized aluminum reel seat is in good condition and shines. The cork is flawless and has no chips and no cracks. The factory rod tube is included with the rod sock. The tube is in good condition as well. The rod ... moreis ready for a new home. This is an excellent example of the generation 5 Xi2. Has warranty card. You are bidding on a G Loomis IM6 PR8400C 7' baitcast rod. This rod is in excellent condition with very minimal signs of use. The cork is perfect and the reel seat is in very good condition with a few very light scratches visible on close inspection. All of the guides and wraps are in excellent condition. There are a couple of very light scratches on the blank that are visible only on very close inspection.
