up for auction is a kencor model rc840 6' fishing rod 30/100 lb. test. in good used cond. has a few scuffs and scratches. But the wraps and eyes all look to be in good cond. very stout rod. this one does not have a set nut where the reel attatches, doesnt look like it ever did? but not sure. has a little light pitting on the reel post and lower roller eye but nothing to affect the performace, please see pics. as for better cond. sold in good used cond. please email with any questions thks.

This is in amazing condition for it's age. The reel seat looks new and it's original. I would say this rod is from the 70's. The guides are braid friendly. I'm guessing the"H" in the 210 H means hea vy but. This rod is not heavy. It's limber at the tip and it's got some great action. It has 6 guides plus the tip. There are some scratches and dings under the flex coat from years of use. It's a beautiful rod. I will ship international but. It may have to be Prio rity because of the length. Any questions? I worked in a fishing shop back in the late 1990’s and the Kencor rods were very popular. I was given this blank and had a friend custom wrap it for me. I have never fished it once as all of my fishing is fly fishing. It is a gorgeous rod– would be excellent on a lake for trout. In fact this particular model was our most popular selling rod. There is no damage to this rod. All guides are fully in tact and the cork is still very nice. It has a Fuji grip and the wraps are burgundy in color. It does have my name on it and the name of the person who wrapped it. As can be seen in the pictures it breaks into two pieces and has seven guides. As I have not used this gorgeous rod in the time I’ve owned ... moreit. I figured it was time to pass it on to someone who would. Tight lines! 11' Kencor Tenlew Magnaglass Surf Spinning Rod 2 Piece. 12- 25lbs- MADE IN USA. Auction is for a vintage Kencor Tenlew Magnaglass Surf Spinning Rod. 11' in length. 2 piece rod meant for 12- 25 lb line. Nice play with this one and can cast it a mile! Rod is straight and all guides tightly wrapped, metal shiny and free of any rust. Assembles with ease and makes a tight fit. Reel clamps easy to move back and forth. One guide is cracked as shown in last photo, may need to be replaced although the crack is in a spot where it doesn't really affect it when pulling down on the guide as the line would. Will let you have to be the judge to fix or not. Also there is some scuffing on lower half of the rod. Last photo shows representation, and this is in approximately 3 different locations, on lower section between first and 2nd foam grips, ... moreand the backside between first 2 guide sections after handle. See photos for more. Nice vintage rod for using or even light restoration if you have the means. Either way they don't make these anymore so don't miss out on your chance to get one.
