Up for auction is a 9 Ft. Matrix Graphite Fly Rod. I got this at an auction and do not know anything about fly rods. I was told that it has only been used once or twice. It is a Graphite rod. The top part has 9 eyes and the bottom part has 2 eyes and a hook keeper just above the cork handle. The bottom part also has 4 Wt. 9' on it. Everything on this rod looks New and it is in EXCELLENT CONDITION AND SHAPE. I ship all my rods in a hard Sturdy Round Cardboard Tube with 2 Plastic end caps. USA made, Scott V2 9' 8wt x 4pc Graphite Fly Rod. With compartmented case
This rod has been very lightly used; I have worsening problems with my hands and shoulders and find it difficult to handle an 8wt for long periods of of time any more. It is a fast rod that casts superbly well and is in pristine condition. I like the way Scott uses large line guides and a larger than usual tip-top- shades of Lefty Kreh! The rod comes in an internally divided case. Nice touch!

Exteriors of both have the usual light scuffs from storage& handling over the past several decades, just as you'd expect. One looks to have been used exclusively, has a fracture in lower end(does NOT go through) the other is near pristine. However they both appear to have been little used on-stream before becoming separated from the lower section of the Rod. The rod ferrules are still perfect with NO cracks, splits, or damage, and the guides and wraps are undamaged as well, so they should work exactly as designed still when paired with the correct ORVIS HLS Graphite Fly Rod as noted above. Ready-to-go when you are, these best quality, ORVIS Fly Rod Spare Tips are very scarce& hard-to find& identify correctly once they have been separated from the original Fly Rod obviously. These were kept within the tube however, so somebody's unfortunate loss is most certainly your gain here!
