This is a great used fly fishing set-up. Included in the sale is a pair of SIMMS G3 guide waders in size large/regular 11-12 bootie and a pair of SIMMS lace up wading boots in size 12. Both function just fine. There is a VERY VERY slow leak in the right bootie that will result in a damp( not soaking wet) sock after about 4 hrs of river time. SIMMS has a lifetime warranty on these waders but have not been sent in for repair. Buyer could send them in over the offseason for factory repair at low cost. Only reason I'm selling is I went up 1 size to Large/Long 12-13 bootie and size 13 boots for warmer winter fishing. I'll start them low and let them go from there! Patagonia Wading Boots- Size 13(but run small- see below) These boots are identical to the one's I recently listed. With one exception: They don't have cleats and are felt only(no provisions for cleats/studs) And so. Often, when buying wading boots you want to size up one to accomodate neoprene booties. While these boots are a size 13, I would recommend them for a guy with a street shoe size of 11 or 11.5, but not someone who just sneaks into a size 12 street shoe; otherwise, these boots are terrific. These boots are true to width and fit my more-than-average wide-fitting feet fine; however, I am a not a super-wide. just a hair wider than average, perhaps, in the fore-foot, below the toes. Another piece of helpful/important advice. My feet are precisely 11" from heel to top of big toe measuring from the bottom of the foot. And ... morethese are a tad snug in the toe for me. My neoprene booties are just under 12" from heel to toe measuring on the bottoms. If your bare feet are 10.75" or less and your wader's neoprene booties are comfortably snug without excess bootie, you should find these boots comfortable. Please measure your feet before bidding. And. Feel free to ask questions- someone is going to get a real nice, stable, supportive and LIGHT pair of wading boots, here- they also drain nicely. Simms waders g4 pro LL 12.13
2 years old Simms g4 pro waders large long. 12-13 bootie size. One picture shows burn in fold out pouch. It happened from a hot rock flying out of the campfire. One picture shows tiny tear on right knee. It does not leak on the inside. These waders have been sent to Simms for repair and aqua sealed about 20 times inside the waders. I haven't done any brush whacking in these waders, and don't know why they sprung tiny leaks. Simms says it is inherit in the goretex fabric after time. I am tired of babying these waders, just to have them spring tiny leaks occasionally. When I say tiny leaks, I mean after fishing all day waist deep I would remove the waders and have nickel sized wet spots on my capilene leggings. A ton of life left in these waders. Up for auction with no reserve is a pair of G3 Guide Special Edition Waders. Size Medium Short, with 9-11 Foot. The waders are previously owned and were my backup waders for 2 seasons and really weren't used much as you can tell from pictures. The waders show normal signs of wear as you would expect but have many days on the water left if you know anything about Simms waders. Made with Gore-tex Pro shell technology, these waders are a souped-up version of the popular G3's. The main features that make them different are the improved suspenders with ventilated padding for all-day comfort and D-loop on back for a landing net, only offered now on the pricey G4's. The wading belt is also a lot nicer than what comes standard on the G3's. The Simms camo on the handwarmer pocket and flip-out pouch is also a nice touch. I did replace ... morethe thin, flimsy cord that was attached to the zipper on the handwarmer pocket with a burly para cord as seen in the picture. Back in 1997 I got bitten hard by the fly fishing bug and went out and spent a shed load of cash on all kinds of fancy gear. I went on one four day fishing trip then hung my waders in the closet thinking I'd be hitting a stream again the next season. Life proceeded to smack the wanderlust out of me with work. 3 kids and an extra 40 pounds. I have now finally decided to get back into fly fishing and just realized that there's no way I'm getting into these waders ever again! My inability to say no to beer and chocolate is your gain. Despite being almost old enough to vote. These Orvis waders are practically like new. I guess Hipsters would call them"vintage" and I can only assume that's cool. I'm 5'11" and was about 140 pounds when I first bought them. Again, they have only been used once(in fresh water) ... moreand have been stored per the label's instructions the entire time I've owned them(the reason the feet are a little wrinkled. There's one or two places in the seam tape around the feet where the edges of the tape pulled loose a bit the first time I put them on, but nothing that should detract from their performance. The neoprene still fills soft, supple and stretchy. I even found the never used boot gaiters in the front pocket. Unfortunately, I can't put them on to give them a thorough testing so I'm selling them as-is. My guess is someone will get a really great deal on a set of waders that originally cost over $300.00. Up for auction is my used Simms Guide stocking foot waders. The size is large short. The first time I put these waders on to do some Salmon fishing. I sat down on a folding lawn chair on the porch at a lodge overlooking the MSW Miramichi River. As I sat down I heard a scraping noise. When I checked, a sharp burr on the chair's aluminum frame sliced a 1" cut in the backside, just below the belt line(see pictures) The waders were subsequently repaired, you can hardly notice the cut and I have used them since then with absolutely no problem.
